Long time non-member lurker until tonight. Thought I would finally join to say thanks for all the deals and that this deal is on again. Naturally I grabbed one first. I'll probably be horrified now to see all the ways I could have saved more!

I have the 32 inches. It's good for gaming but the pixel density is not enough for office work. 4k would be better for a 32 inches. If you also need to use it to work get something else. I think ultra wide would be better than this as it feels a bit too tall for work as well.

For what it's worth 32" 1440p pixel density is the same as 24" 1080p, which i personally think is perfectly usable (though I would prefer 4k of course).

    • 100% agree… I struggle with the PPI on my 32" 1440p. Really wish I had stuck with 27" and got a second monitor instead.

Welcome! Don't forget to add the product codes to your tags so it's linked to the product history here on OzB, as per the previous deal.

Thanks - you mean the "SEXXY" ones like LC27G75TQSEXXY? I've now added them.

    Good deal!

You can get $50 off a purchase of $350+ if you sign up to the newsletter (haven't received email yet).

This would have been really helpful last night when i bought one, but i couldn't get the offer to popup. Don't ask me how to get it to show, but it's there now. (profanity) me.

    • I had issues with mine originally when I wanted to buy something. Had to turn off adblock and open up in an incognito window. I assume there's a cookie or something that determines if it pops?

    • +1

The $50 newsletter credit cannot be applied to monitors.

      • Yep you're right, everything under the sun BUT monitors, what a joke.

  • +1

Cheers. Have been waiting for this one to go on special.

    HDMI 2.1 present?

    • +1

      Looks like it's only 2.0

    • +4

Nah, but it's also only. 1440p so it won't be able to do 4k. It will still do 1080p at 120hz for PS5 and 1440p at 120 Hz for Xbox though.

      • Very good point. HDMI 2.1 only relevant if it's 4k.

  • +2

Gov portal has them for $711.55 (27") and $806.55 (32"). Not sure about Edu portal pricing though.

    • +2

Same pricing as you listed on the Edu portal too

That curve though…….Was it too hard to make it flat?

  • +1

Why is this Samsung so good compared to the Dell S3222DGM which can be had for half the price? Both VA, better HDR?

  • +1

I had the 32". Its very well built and a physically good looking unit.

However, the curve is very aggressive. If at all possible I would try to find one on display. Bing Lee stock them and quite often have either the 27" or 32" on display.

I personally couldn't stand it. I got lucky with a dead pixel and the store was happy to take it back with no issue.

    • I also have the 32. The curve is not a problem for me. I won't recommend for designing or CAD though. Pixel density is my main issue. Also, the colours doesnt look as nice as on my laptop.

    • Yeah, it's 1000R instead of 1800R (what my current monitor has). It's a little too much

  • +1

These monitors have some major issues that don't seem to have been fixed.

Flickering, scanlines and all kinds of crazy artifacts.

Seem to be superficially great monitors that really suck for long term use.

    • +2

^ This right here. There's no doubt many happy users nonetheless, but even with this discount I wouldn't touch em personally as Samsung's indifference to these issues is just absurd.

    • +1

Can attest to this. Bought it at RRP only three months ago. Monitor is now overheating and turning off intermittently. Samsung took it back for repairs twice and can't fix it. I'm without a monitor for nearly 1 month.

    • I assume its a result of going VA over IPS but still going for 240hz. Might turn out better running at 120hz?

I personally cant see much benefit going for 240 over 144 or 165, its going to be a negligible difference at best.

    • Apparently the flicker issues were fixed in a firmware update but not sure about the other issues.

Anyone elses order getting delayed due to deep cleaning of the facility?

    • I've only got an order received email (twice) so far. No confirmation email yet. On their website the order says "preparing dispatch".

      • +1

i got no emails just sms sent to me cant find my order when i log in as well, strange.

        • +1

Another email today "Your goods are on the way!" - no tracking info though.

          • +1

@MisterTree: mine is comming friday, what did you get 27 or 32?

            • @zorosnax: 32" - they say they'll text me with a date but nothing yet.
Good luck! Hope we avoid the problems some seem to be having!

              • +1

@MisterTree: I got the same thing yesterday but still no tracking or text message.

It's interesting as it says that I need to confirm if the date is good with me, but provides no date.

                • @GunnerMcDagget: The website is now saying "Arrives on 06/09/2021 Standard Road Delivery" - quick to the DeLorean!

                  • +1

@MisterTree: Haha. Yeah, I got the same thing.

But they called this morning saying that they would deliver it tomorrow.

  • Seems this deal is over. Cheapest 32" I can now find is Bing Lee for $949.
