    Can I pre-purchase for 100 years?

    • Max 2yr pre-paid plan :(

    • -1

      No need.
There will be region barriers (different pricing for different region, no Great fireWall of China, etc) within Earth by then.
At that time, we will need VPN for Mars or other planets because it is cheaper to get YouTube Premium if you are Marian.

      • +6

it is cheaper to get YouTube Premium if you are Marian.

Will they go back to calling it YouTube Red?

        • -5

Nup, rebranded to RedTube, site already running as beta, you should have a look…

          • +4

            @ccrap: I don't have internet access at the moment…

          • @ccrap: @ccrap
My manager called me into a meeting room….

  • I have Surfshark VPN and it will expire in a few months. How does CyberGhost VPN compare to Surfshark?

    • +3

      Both equally bad

      • Really, I thought surfshark was okay ish to be honest. Not amazing, but not bad either

    • I haven't had any issues with CyberGhost. I often use it when I've maxed out download limits on file locker sites (integrated with JDownloader via OpenVPN)

    • How’s surfshark for Netflix?

      • It works well with Netflix actually. Never had any issues. But at the same time, I don't watch a lot of Netflix. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.

  • New Customers Only

Cashback not valid for existing CyberGhost VPN customers

    • +3

      New Customers Emails only :)

  • Is the website based in AU? Although can pay in AUD, will credit cards see this a foreign transaction?

    • Highly unlikely; the site has IP location so it picks up where you are and assumes the currency accordingly; even if you manually change that, the GST will apply as well as the foreign transaction fees applicable to your card.

    • i got stinged by Private Internet Access VPN last time so better pay with a fee free card.

      No, Paypal didn't help.

  • +1

I am using CyberGhost around year. Their VPN is not that good better to choose nordvpn.

    • I tried NordVPN and it was okay, but there was a deal on ExpressVPN and I find it's better.

  • +2

    Seems sustainable.

  • how does this business work..they are paying you cashback more then what you pay …
so where are these guys making money

    • +1

They will make money by not honouring the cashback, simple as that.

      • +2

I was skeptical but actually got the cashback correctly in previous deal.

I was in need of a VPN anyway but it’s good to get it for free for sure.

    • +3

The VPN business is an extremely high margin industry, and it doesn't really cost more than a few cents to service a new user. Maybe these guys are betting on renewals, word of mouth, etc to make back their money.

    • +5

it's just marketing. The additional cost they incur with each new customer is next to nil (because they've already paid for the infrastructure etc) so this is not costing them as much as people think.

      • +3

This is the right take of them all. They don't do this sort of promotion when their infrastructure is bursting, but when they have excess capacity there is benefit to them of having more users and hoping for renewal and word of mouth. Plus, they get my cash today, and the cash to ShopBack and then back to me takes a while to filter through.

  • I don't need a VPN but for 105% cashback, i'll take the 5% of $80 profit!

  • -2

can we choose the add-ons for maximum earn? CyberGhost Password Manager for example

  • Stay away from Shopback or at least record your screen while you purchase to avoid any disappointments. For some very odd reasons every order where shopback is more thanb $5, it is declined and evey 5 cents shopback goes through

    • So you get the tracking but later on it's declined, how much later does that happen?

  • How soon does it show 'tracked' on Shopback?

    • +1

They track it pretty quickly but you won't be able to get the money back for a while. I ordered a Nordvpn deal using Shopback last week and the cash back money won't be available until Nov 21.

  • +1

    Surfshark and CyberGhost are garbage.

    • +1

      TURE

    • Luckily, I've had nothing but good experience with Surfshark.

  • Is the following question a paradox?
Can we use VPN to get a cheaper VPN?

  • Do you have to give a mobile number to create a ShopBack account? Because if you do, that defeats the whole purpose of a VPN which is supposed to make you anonymous. (mobile numbers are not anonymous!)

  • I have never transfered cashbacks, but they may require a phone number as authorisation when taking money out. send you a code before they transfer

  • -1

For anyone in Melbourne, it doesn’t appear to support P2P and perhaps torrents when you check the server list https://www.cyberghostvpn.com/en_US/vpn-server

    • -1

Why is Melbourne relevant for this?

  • +1

When they are literally paying you to buy a garbage product, you are the product.

  • Wait is this like literally free money??

    • nah you may actually have to pay. Shopback says that you MAY get 105% back or there is a high chance of us taking it away from you.

  • Can i get cashback on dedicated ip?
