People rave about it, but I think its kinda meh. Creamy/chessy chicken filling in a crusty bread.

    • It's a log of bready stuff with some creamy chicken stuff on the inside.

      They are ok.

Am I the only one that thinks the Chicken Bake looks like a croquette filled with thread worm?
These have to be two of the most unappetising promo pics I have ever seen.

  • Looks awful, tastes delicious!

  • un-shut the border!

  • Clam Chowder bread bowl? never seen this is lidcome!

    • They had it when I was last there in June

This is a big thing in California. The only time I eat Clam Chowder is in Monterey. I saw this at the Docklands Costco and decided to pass.

Right now I’m ambivalent about the Docklands Costco. I had to get tested on Sunday because I was Tier 2 to an infected case there. I came back negative but it is a touch of aversion therapy. I don’t go a lot of places but I’m beginning to reconsider just how necessary some of my trips are. On the plus side I got notified I needed to be tested, at 4.30 pm and I had my test results back by 11.30 that night. I didn’t, even, lose a day. The queue at St Vincent’s was pretty short as well.

  • Just throwing it out there. The mango smoothie is really good

  • Sounds tasty

  • Not gonna renew my membership, seems to have gone downhill since opening.

    • Make sure you cancel it and get your membership fee back, say you are moving or something.

      • Oh damn too late, I believe it expired like last week… Didn't know you could cancel and get money back :(

      • Make sure you cancel

Does anyone know if you can cancel over the phone?

Asking as I live >20 km in Vic and though fully vaccinated, I can't visit in person any time soon, which is a wasted membership IMO

        • I got my m'ship refunded due to lockdowns no worries.

If you live close, it worth keeping just for the petrol alone.

Don't think driving >20km each way would save me any petrol?
Just checked it is actually 27 km

Can confirm the Clam Chowder is $4.99 at North Lakes, QLD as well (at least it was on Sunday when I was there)

  • I wish they still had the mexican bake

If there's one thing that really whets my appetite, it's food promos printed on A4 paper and stuck to a pole with sticky tape. Note the paper MUST be unlaminated. Shame there's no misspellings in this one, that gets me even hungrier. Chicken Snitzel anyone?

    • Thanks. That made me laugh. This goes hand in hand with cheap takeaway places that take, in house, pictures of their dishes and leave them in the window to fade. There are bonus points for old cobwebs and trapped flies.
