I actually ordered the exact same bundle and cable. They were sold out of Fisherman's tale, but only said that after purchase, which seems dodgy. Says it'll be back in stock, but hasn't been for a day or two now.

Regarding the referral bonus on onselling the second set, I was wondering the same thing as to whether it will work. Hopefully. I did notice that Oculus state that the referral bonus works no matter what retailer you use to purchase so this seems hopeful.
It would appear the referral bonus did not work on the second unit for the person I sold mine to, oculus must be recording the serial numbers of these devices at the point of shipping and the two devices were counted as one sale.
Did anyone else have any luck doing this?

Maybe that's why oculus haven't posted mine yet. It has been 1 week since I bought it and it still says-
"We are processing your order. You will be notified when your payment is confirmed and your items have shipped".
I had one due today, and one due on the 12th (no idea why so far apart, unless to maybe make it fairer for others??). Anyway, the one due to arrive today has been showing as sitting in the airport at Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong since Sept 30th. Called FedEx, who raised a case. I was emailed a few hours later, only to be told "this is unusual" (yeah, no sh*t), and that the package is basically MIA; and could I describe what it looks like??? Needless to say, Oculus support weren't very helpful at all, and basically fobbed me off back to FedEx. So now waiting for FedEx to confirm WTH has happened to the delivery.
Wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience so far?
I actually suspect it's already in Oz, and FedEx have NFI. Probably sitting in a warehouse with hundreds of other packages, while people on strike.
I'm in the exact same situation. Its been stuck at CHEK LAP KOK HK since Thursday and its now 'potentially delayed' with no "No scheduled delivery date available at this time."
I got an update at about 22:00 saying it's now in NSW. I don't know if strikes still occuring, but I did see news headlines about FedEx delays in Australia, so who knows when they'll arrive at this rate. I also just got notified that my second unit was only shipped out today.
@happykamper: Pretty sure our packages are on the same route. I just had an update at 6am this morning for it to be in Matraville, scheduled to be delivered by Saturday. Hopefully it comes soon
@ProjectEldor: Yep, mine was also in Matraville, with an update at 6:32 saying it was moved from international shipment release to FedEx facility also in Matraville. I have an ETA of "before 18:00 today", which sounds ambitious considering I'm in Melbourne, but not impossible I guess. Yeah I hope it comes soon as well, this week was a lot better than next week for me schedule wise to try it out, so I'm still bummed it didn't arrive on Monday when it was supposed to. Anyway, hopefully we both get ours soon! Cheers.
Mine has been at Erskine Park facility since Friday, hopefully it will make it's way up the coast to Coffs Harbour area shortly, although it's meant to be delivered today… doubt it.

Bit of a worry when Facebook goes down and takes the Oculus website with it. Although they seem to both be back online again now.
Can the Quest be used offline or does it need to connect to Facebook for each session?

Anyone also order accessories? I ordered the elite strap with battery, which was posted separately. Apparently it's taking the scenic route, as it's gone China > Hong Kong > Japan > China > Singapore. Still in Singapore at the moment, and no that's not a typo that it was in China twice!
Well, just spent an hour or so having a play with my new toy until the battery ran out, pretty awesome although feeling a bit queasy being fairly much a VR noob. Screen is great although the sweet spot for focus is hard to keep constant if you are moving your head around too much, pro head band would probably help in that regard. My referrer bonus came through ok too so my nephew will be happy.

Yes, it came through when I activated. I also onsold the second unit unopened to a third party, they were unable to get the referral credit and neither was I after I referred them (was worth a shot, didn't work). Not 100% sure how oculus realises it was a device that was onsold, but guessing they must track serials of devices they sell before it leaves their warehouse.
If you are referring someone, the credit should come through to your account 30 days after they activate their unit. But if you are referred then the credit comes through upon your activation.
i used someone's referral link to buy 2 oculus, activated first one 3 weeks ago and havent received ref credit. the live chat is not helpful at all, been asking all th einfo and i have provided but cant issue credit

So you got a message initially from the referrer in facebook messenger and clicked on the link successfully to take you to oculus store before purchasing?
There doesn't appear to be any big announcement from Facebook/Meta today about an immediate update to the quest lineup other than the high end "Cambria" project, so pretty stoked my Quest 2 is not obsolete a few weeks after buying, quite surprised actually.
