    I've been on the look out for a PS3 (a few days now) and this appears to a good price, in fact, the lowest I've seen for a brand new unit.

    EB hasn't put on a sale yet (they have one for $298, but you have to shell out $38 for an HDMI cable which equates to over $330 as the final purchase price for the 160GB unit. I have an inkling that they would get their act together soon? Kmart has the 320GB version for $399 with 2x controllers and 1x game.

    Keep our eyes peeled eh?

      You don't have to shell out anything. A $4 HDMI cable from Ebay will do exactly the same thing as the $38 one.

        Yes, I concur. The EB Games' "promo" is, they give you the PS3 console for $298 when you buy the $38 HDMI cable.

  I just bought this recently from Target when they had it at $299. I went past Dick Smith on my way to target and asked if they have these on sale. The guy there flat out told me "no, we never have the base machines on sale, only bundles and such". Well now I can go down there and call him a fibber. If I could actually remember what the mindless lying sales drone looked like.

  Hope they're not thinking of launching the PS4 too soon, though, like Nintendo. My backlog of games is embarrassing.
