Bunnings E-Gift Cards

I have an e-gift card and Im one of the lucky (not) ones who lives in the beautiful state of Victoria.

Unfortunately, we are run by dictator leaders who falsely advertise we live in this democratic society whilst imposing draconian rules restricting human rights and movement. Relying on excuses of health advice or not (ie: curfew rules are not health advice) yet continue to run our state into ruins.

Anyway, whilst I am unable to go to Bunnings to shop, I have a e-gift card I would like to use and the lockdowns are restricting the use of those funds at Bunnings.

Can someone please tell me why Bunnings (who has made so much money from this pandemic) have not implemented a system that will help these customers make use of their e-gift cards online?

Is Bunnings doing anything about this? Or is it the usual thing now that anyone who complains about Bunnings is called a 'Karen'?

Is this really about Bunnings though?

Sounds like OP wants Bunnings to do something about the govt. 🤷‍♂️ and doesn't want to be called a Karen.

It could be a "have your cake and eat it too"… I'm confused. 🙄

Just a headsup. Most people here are pro-lockdown.

I don’t think you’ll get the answers you are looking for..

True, it will be hard to start that anti lockdown, anti vaccine stuff here.

      • Thats just how democracy works my friend.

Rightfully so, majorities decides what goes.I can respect that

Some minorities makes the most noise, and within them some starts attacking the majority.

We'll leave that up to the tradesmen with brand new, bright, dirt/stain free, hi-vis gear :)

So not relevant whilst we are in a global pandemic. This isn't what Ozbargain is about.

I beg to differ, OP wants to use their giftcard which is heavily promoted here.

No need to add the comments about dictatorship and how the state is run etc. Could have just asked about how to use the gift card. Thankfully we have these restrictions and rules, otherwise the OPs life could well be very different to now.

Are tradies still allowed in, if so see if you can find a tradie friend, if they are not injured or in jail

    • +5

Make sure though you tradie friend doesn't have bruises the same size as rubber bullets and does not have blue dye on their skin.

If they do, stay away… They likely have covid.

Is this about lockdown? or Bunnings or gift cards or politics? Looks like this is an AI-bot, trying to start conversation about anti-lockdown and/or politics.

  • It could be worse OP, some other brands of gift cards expire, at least your gift cards will remain useable for the foreseeable future.

Bunnings is not an online store (it is at the moment for obvious reasons) you will just have to wait like everybody else, technology isn’t their thing, hopefully it will only be for a few more weeks, until we can go back in!!

If it wasn't for Masters the website would still be limited to store locations and opening hours.

  • They have Click and Collect

Bunnings gift cards don't expire. So you'll be ok.

    Thanks for the laugh.

So you didn't keep working and making money or did the gov stop paying you handouts during the pandemic? No didn't think so.

  • A first world problem….

  • Get your hand off it.

Yes, Bunnings is working on it.

When you read the T&Cs of the E-Gift card, did it say just in store or in store and online?

Isn't it hilarious that OP equates not being able to use e-gift cards in a pandemic to living under a dictatorship and subject to draconian rules restricting human rights and movement.

Someone needs to tell the North Koreans that we finally know how they live.

You, not OP, made the absurd comparison to NK, so beat on all the strawmen you want.

It's true though that Victoria, particularly Melbourne is the wokest, most Feminist, most diversity-embracing, most secularly-pious state, hence shithole dictatorship

      • +2

Dude if someone talks about living under a dictatorship and subject to draconian rules restricting human rights and movement, then NK would the first place I would think of , not Melbourne.

Do you even know what Dictatorship is ? Do you worry about your and your family being executed for criticising the Andrew government ?

Stop being a whinger , pull up your big boy pants and get your like minded friends to vote Andrews out in the next Victorian election, planned for 2022.

Embracing diversity = 'shithole dictatorship,' okay. Looks like someone has a hell of a chip on their shoulder. 10 comments in 14 years and all of them crap.

  • Dictator Leaders? Not if they’ve been voted in, have the support of the majority, and are highly likely to be voted in again at the next election (source SportsBet where they are paying $1.29 at the moment).

Based on the above it would be more “dictatorial” if they did something different to what they are currently doing. So there!

  • Its funny. If you're the type of spending money at Bunnings then you'll have a lot to get busy during lockdown and won't complain. There're 2 phrases in this narrative that don't go very well together.
