Blue Yeti Pro Microphone $303.96 (Was $379.95) + Shipping ($0 C&C) @ EB Games

70

First post, plz correct if any mistake. Knowing it is not a 'bargin' microphone but someone might interest to go something 'PRO'.
Also slightly lower than history price from amazon which camel says 299$.

Can use gift card from suncorp for 6% lower or officework pricebeat for 5% lower but I think officework would also calculate the delivery fee of ebgame which standard is 6.95$. I'll add (Price Beat $Price @ OW) if anyone tries here.
Only very select Ebgame store has pickup option, mostly in QLD from their website.

Item Description (copied from OW):

This Blue Yeti Pro provides both digital and analogue connectivity options so you can switch between recording podcasts or streaming audio and recording with music equipment in a studio environment. There are 4 built-in pattern modes so you can switch between a single source of audio, stereo recording, omni-directional or bi-directional at the touch of a button. Plus, the adjustable design makes it easy to angle your microphone to the perfect position, ensuring your audio sounds great.

The microphone supports digital connections via USB or XLR for an analogue connection.
It supports a 24-bit audio resolution for high quality recordings.
You can switch between Cardiod, Stereo, Omni-directional or Bi-directional recording patterns depending on which directions the noise is coming from.
It's compatible with drivers for both Mac and PC, allowing you to use your favourite operating system.
There's a no-latency headphone output built-in to the Blue Yeti Pro for added convenience.
The stand allows you to get started right away, or you can mount your microphone to your own boom arm or stand.
You can access a mute button, gain control and other easy adjustments on the mic itself for added convenience.

    From the site page:

The world’s top artists use Blue microphones in the studio

Really? Or is this just marketing jargon?

    • As jargon as "Blue Yeti | The World’s #1 USB Microphone" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wly8U_fA2os

Frankly from my view their micrphone are good. Blue Yeti Pro are one of the top-tier USB microphone (again my view).
I personally don't know any world’s top artists used it in the studio

    • I'm sure some "top" artists do but they definitely don't use this model.

I have this, but upgraded to a shure sm7b.
There are a couple of pros to the yeti pro…
The usb xlr combo is nice for a beginner in terms of upgradability.
The fact that it's a stereo mic is great too.
If you pair the two it's great for podcasts and interviews. all you need is a laptop and this plonk it between you and the person you're interviewing and Bob's your uncle.
Their definitely are better options if you jump directly to xlr and interface though.

  • If you're after something just for talking over voice chat/phone calls, I highly recommend the Blue Yeti Nano. Runs you around ~$150.
