Oh sorry, I should have said that it has been cheaper on ebay and is frequently, as I paid 16.89 on 31st of aug

  • Can anyone recommend a good tamper-proof torx set with separate handles in a tidy case?

I don't need 100 pieces, just between 6-20 pieces. Local stores preferred.

Most torx sets don't say wether they are tamper proof or not.

    • You mean something like this?
      https://www.repco.com.au/en/tools-equipment/tool-kits-sets/h…

Just have a look at the product image on the online stores and you should be able to see the hole in the star tip to tell if it's for tamper proof

      • Yeah, but geez that's a bit more than I want to spend :|

Just have a look at the product image on the online stores and you should be able to see the hole in the star tip to tell if it's for tamper proof

Even with amazon's manifying glass I wasn't certain if this set (not the repco set) has tamper proof bits in it.

Edit: Although, looking further down I can see a table that says: Torx with hole (lol) T6H to T25H

  • Edit - my bad it was a different one but similar looking —Careful these are rather cheap and break easily. Not bad for price but a few things I used snapped after a few uses and the main hand piece used for all attachments isn’t the best as the rubber bits keep moving and u lose grip and starts to hurt your hand as grip becomes harder

Amazon suggested I get this lightning deal instead $16.99 for 119 pieces

    • Thanks.

    • Thanks - got one

    • It says 19.99 for me. Is there a coupon code?

it was a time based deal. You have missed out.

In my experience, the more pieces for cheap is going to be worse quality. Drill bits are the worst for this.

  • I have this and while quality is hardly great, for the price it's been very, very handy for small tasks. Coffee machine, camera gear, small electronics… I keep finding uses for it.

    • Yeah I have a similar one and it's great for odd jobs. The bits won't last long if you're using it for work (some kinda repair) everyday though.

  • OOS?

    • Sorry, sold nearly 200 units.

  • Please mark sold out. :(

    • How to do that? There is red sign out of stock above the title.

      • Hi, I was using my Mobile Phone, and I don't recall seeing the red sign. Thank you for following up.
Looks like a good set. ;)
