        Just got the cheque today

  • Reached the spending requirement and also made a Citi PayAll for $9000 to get extra 4500 points :)

    • Thought it was 1pt per $1 spend upto $100k. How come you only got 0.5pt?

      • In the T&C

The Citi Premier Qantas Card earns 0.5 Points per $1 on Citi PayAll payments.

  • 'The bonus Qantas Points will ordinarily be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account within 6 - 8 weeks of meeting the spend criteria. Your Citi Premier Qantas Credit Card must remain open, in good standing and enrolled in Citi Qantas Rewards for the bonus Qantas Points to be awarded.' - reply from live chat

  • Did anyone's confirmation email mention the points?

Closed my account today and was advised I would receive a $150 refund via cheque on my annual fee when closed on their end, card was open for a month.

    • Wait what! How did you get that? Was it through telephone?

      • Closed it via live chat and asked about an annual fee refund and they credited it to my account. It was outstanding at closure statement date a month later (inactive card) and refunded via cheque.

        • Thanks for the advice. Will try and pursue an annual fee refund also.

  • Am I eligible for the bonus points if I had the fee free for life card?

    • Yes

Opened my account Oct 2021, not closing account till March but called up to see if I could get a refund of annual fee but with a small discussion was able to get $100 rebated back into my bank account, so only $75 out of pocket as a result. Pretty good result.

  • How long has it taken people to get the points after hitting the minimum spend?

Got the bonus points in 2nd month. Points showup in QF account day after Citibank issued the statement.

  • Got the card, did a $4000 Payall to myself, then cancelled once the points were deposited, also asked for a prorated refund on the annual fee and got $160 back.

    • what? didn't know PayAll is eligible for bonus points.

      • +1

I'd heard conflicting reports on it, but I didn't make any other purchases on the card and the points came through on the day the statement was issued.

        • how did you get the prorated refund? automatically or raise to the webchat?
I've just asked them and they flatout refused and said that i wont get anything back.

            @timhn: Just an update.

I've checked with them again via webchat. Got on to a nice CS person Cristy immediately told me she can only verify once the account has closed. Closed it and she confirmed I'll get back $117 - card was opened for 5 months. So, i was out of pocket for $58 with aprox 116K points all together.

            • @timhn: What did you pay with PayAll to reach the limit of you don't mind me asking? Trying to work out if I should apply for the card.

              • +1

@kuwahshi: Same as everyone done as discussed in the Citibank Payall deal, to your own account.

  • Is it possible to PayAll to your personal account or it has to be a "Australian financial institution" account?

  • Anyone getting the prorated fee refund by cheque? They have promised to send me a cheque but that was almost 2 weeks ago and still nothing yet.

  • Citibank chat rejected my annual fee pro-rated refund:

Jovelyn: "Regrettably, annual fee is not refundable."

    • Try again with different CS.

    • Did you manage to request the refund? It took them more than a month after i requested to have the cheque issued. Just got it today.
