So it's $100 discount for all bicycle-less trainers

  • +5

    That title is pretty misleading

  • +1

What a tease. I just got click baited.

    • +1

Sorry, that's how it was advertised and the KICKR Bike is a trainer, so…

      • +2

It's a good deal OP. People can be a bit weird on this site, thanks for the heads up on the deal and ignore the haters.

        • +1

Yep. Vote up or vote down. Doesn't bother me.

  • +6

I don't understand the down votes. OP posts a deal with up to 500 off and people are upset because that's only for the kickr bike?

The kickr bike is a trainer… I know the naming is confusing but don't down vote the OP over a legitimately good deal. The bike is rarely on sale. Especially now due to covid.

i think although the language is technically correct, you are more likely to find that the layman would call that $5500 trainer an "exercise bike".

When the layman refers to a trainer it is often the attachment to an existing bike.

Language is a funny thing but I believe this is why it's being downvoted.

I have to agree also that it's misleading as well in that it's not even a staggered discount where the slightly more expensive trainers have a larger portion discounted, it's just flat $100 then $500 for the bike

  • The advertisement/Title should be up to 15% Off

    • Should be $100 off trainers, and $500 off the bike. Clickbait

  • -4

Click bait, got the same click bait from Pushys..
This must be a Kickr promotion which makes it even worse.

    • +1

      Explain how it's click bait?

      • +4

        Jessie 'clicked' and got 'baited'…

        • The 5.5k smart bike doesn't even come with pedals, JV

          • @misterpotatomato: Not very 'smart' then, is it?

            • @jv: It's not very smart to fall for the 'clickbait' either…

The original title before it was edited said "Up to…". Savvy Ozbargainers would know what the means. It's standard marketing jargon.

I would actually say that you're a fool if you thought any of the trainers other than the bike was being discounted by $500!

              • @brotherfranciz: It's click bait,
The trainer is gold, but I know the actual price as I got mine in Nov 2019

                $1139 - 15% = $968

So again, no Deal in my books

  • +1

I think the price is okay given the current climate, but not a bargain.
For reference I got the Kickr Core from 99 bikes for $1019 back in 2019.

  • I must of misread I keep pressing see deal N get Ziploc bags at Amazon. Click bait for sure

  • And they're sold out of the Ziploc bags in the link
