  • Is it good and safe?

Yeah Vention is a legit brand.

This is what I hate about AliExpress. They change the prices when added to cart.

    • +2

frustrating, I've found their 'free shipping' is only certain warehouse/product combinations. Also they add GST at checkout, but that's perfectly understandable.

    • +1

      what that's crazy,
so you are telling us the price of .25m should be exactly the same price for 2m? even though that is 8 times longer they only charged you 3 time more instead of 8 times more.

how dare they. make sure you speak to there CEO

Everyone go on strike, do not purchase anything from Aliexpress ever again.

or is there a way to mute Gazz instead?

      • +4

No I am saying that on one screen a item says free shipping but when you get to the cart it will not allow the free shipping but instead selects a paid version.

I don’t mind paying for shipping but I want to compare the price of product and shipping to work out who has best deal. But 80% of the items will come up more more expensive then what it was when added to cart.

Now go be a dumb arse somewhere else.

      • +8

Free shipping at checkout after adding to cart for me, even on the 2M version.

Edit: Managed to work out your problem. You have changed the currency to AUD. You need to leave it as US exactly like the link. It will charge shipping if you change your currency. No need to change it, it will convert for you anyways. Cainiao Super Economy Global is not available with AUD selected, only Standard AliExpress.

        • Wow, that’s a handy tip, if it works. Thanks.

        • ahhhhhhhh thanks! I've been suffering this issue of free shipping (on item page) changing to ~AUD$5 shipping (only visible once at the cart) for the past couple of months and couldn't work out what was happening! I just kept trying different sellers until one of them remained with free shipping.

          Jack Ma isn't missing anymore.

    • If you weren't logged in, it could have been applying the new user bonus

      • Nope I was logged in. It’s something that changed in last few months but not sure why. If you try to change shipping to the free one in the cart it just ignores it and selects the next one in the list.

Only thing we have worked out is that it affects me and my friends that use AliExpress a lot. People like my mum still get free shipping with the same item.

Also the cost of the actual product can change. Add a $2 item and look at the cart and suddenly it’s a $8 item. I almost paid $18 for some chopsticks the other day because of this tactic.

Just double check that when paying that the price is still valid in the cart.

    • I bought this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001161628046.html

      There was free shipping.
I changed quantity to 2, then it was $5.19 shipping (more than the cost of the product).
So I changed quantity back to 1, then it was $4.76 shipping.

Then I refreshed the page and back to free shipping.

In the end, I placed 2 separate orders for quantity of 1 in each order to get the free shipping.

      This is stupid.

If AliExpress website is faulty, please fix it.
If AliExpress are doing this deliberately, I will stop buying.

    Thanks OP.

Bought a 0.5m black PVC cable for $1.10 AUD (using vendor discount coupon).

    Delivery in early Dec.

    • could be sooner than that. from my hundreds purchases i kind of get a little clue.
some shops will send faster. usually the official brand name store. like this. they are good.

    • Yeah $1.10 for me also.

I was cheap and got the 25cm.

    Thanks Clear.

    • Same. Need a short one for the battery pack.

  • Can anyone recommend a good short C to C cable. Ideally 25cm or less to use with a power bank.

Not deal related, but I'm really impressed with the latest round of Aliexpress deliveries. I bought 6 items from different shops on 18/9, they compiled it together and received it today in 1 shipment. Less than 2.5 weeks, my Bonds order took longer than that.

    • +1

This has recently happened for me as well :)

    • Yea, I had one of those, very fast. Way faster than a bunch of stuff I ordered back in late July, but haven’t had any tracking updates since beginning of August … thinking they’re stuck in the AusPost warehouse https://www.9news.com.au/national/australia-post-inundated-d...

  • How's this brand compared to Baseus?

  • For some reason only charged me 29 cents

    • +1

Double check how much you got charged - This happened to me and it turns out that was the cost of GST, and they actually charged 29 cents + $2.90 in total.

      • +1

it says 29 cents on my account, the saying, "if it seems too good to be true it probably is" comes to mind.

        • +2

          New user coupon probably.

          • +1

@Clear: yeah that was it, hopefully there wasnt a way I could put it to better use

Has this changed? I click get coupons, the lowest spend ones are $1 off $18 and $2 off $18 (not $1 off $1.01)
