I think you get $5 bonus cashback, not $5 bonus giftcard?
6% cashback on $50 gift card equates to $3, so if the above statement is true then you get a total of $8 cashback. That means paying $42 for a $50 gift card. That's a discount of 16%.
So if fuel is $1.50 for example, it's like buying at $1.26 per litre.

Yeah, for some reason Shopback advertise these as 'bonus gift card' when it's just bonus cashback.

this is incorrect (in my view) as terms don't say you can't use shopback credits. oh well, we know how good shopback is compared to cashrewards…don't expect anybody on chat also to be available to help you. i guess they work in some strange timezone

to be noted - if you change filter, you need to type in the address again to refresh. Otherwise you might be misled as the map does not update with filter changes
I made the purchase via the SB app, received the 5% cashback, but not the $5 bonus.
The instructions are misleading, should be:
1) Opt-In to the Challenge in the ShopBack Challenges via the App
2) Make the $50 purchase via the ShopBack app

Only when prices actually jump up, which isn't that regularly anymore. If you need to fill up in the middle of a cycle this is a decent saving.

I'm I correct to say before Caltex Starcash wasn't accepted in those Caltex Woolies but now ampolcash is accepted in those Woolies EG fuel Ampol as well as stand alone Ampol?
It's more the difference between physical and digital StarCash/AmpolCash gift cards.
Physical has been accepted at almost all Caltex Woolies
Digital has been mostly not accepted at Caltex Woolies.
Afaik their T&Cs have not changed, it was only a rebrand.
Filter by facilities: AmpolCash Digital accepted on their find a servo page.

Funny i got an error going ordered already, but when I am on the history page it is empty
just a note. I used about $19.9 of my cashback amount for this and hence it is not tracked as fully completing the challenge :(….just wondering if I should buy another $50 gc or not (already have 2 $50 gift cards in total due to a previous promo)

Shopback rep confirmed recently for the Amazon gift card deal that using cashback counts towards the bonus. I suggest contacting Shopback directly to chase up.

Shopback really need to get their act together and either clearly mark in T&C that it's not eligible or even better track it instantly instead of us having to reach out to their team and getting this manually fixed

I immediately purchased the gift card through the "Buy Now" button. I didn't use my cashback balance and it tracked straight away.
Worked for me with $17 offset cashback.
6% tracked in a minute and the challenge completed tracked a few seconds later.
I think it has been updated?
It seems if you use a newly added card to purchase, it'll be updated the next day.

You dont have to spend it all in one go and if you dont have enough funds on the gift card, you'll need to top up with cash or card.

So you have to download something called WalletPasses app?
I found mine in the “Purchases” section of the Shopback app on my iOS device. You shouldn’t have to download another app as you just need the QR code.
On Android - needed to download the WalletPasses app, before the QR code shows.
Just use "show review", the QR code will appear

A downside of my smaller screen size. Didn't expect there was more to see there. So had followed the instruction to install the Wallet app.
I think your useful instructions may help others. Easier than adding an extra app.
