It's almost exactly the same using the conversion from XE.

      • should be less than AUD$580

        • I didn't see the code - just standard price of USD475.

@PissLUR: I meant I didn't see it before I made my first comment.

        • Yeah right around $562 with the “Bulldozer” code, which is 25% off AU RRP(assuming you are using a fee free CC) PayPal etc will be more.

    • Cheers mate. Paid just under $580 including tracked shipping. Excellent deal considering this set is only just released and local RRP is $750.

      • Awesome. I have always selected standard shipping. And they are always trackable.

  • Better write off a full day to build this. Over the weekend I built the excavator, which tiny in comparison, and it took hours.

Doesn't appear to be a Lego exclusive so it shouldn't be too long till we see it 20% off somewhere.

$100 off is a good start though. Thanks for posting.

    • May I please ask you a question. Have you had a good experience with Zavvi. eg do the lego sets arrive undamaged and within the specified delivery time.

      • Ha, If your expecting perfection or anything close to that, than Zavvi isn’t for you.

I’ve ordered three things from Zavvi in the past first item was canceled, second order lost in transit, third arrived fine. Shipping is slow, but normally stated, about 3 weeks for the one that actually arrived. It was the Blue Lego Fiat, box had a bit of a divot on the back but fine for my uses.

First two orders were refund with no issues so I have no problem ordering from them if the deal is good enough, you just have to have realistic expectations.

  • Ok, thank you so much JmanNick. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Zavvi. As long as they provide a refund for non-deliveries that is fair by me :). Cheers

I've ordered quite a bit of Lego from Zavvi and haven't had any issues yet.

      • Ok, that's good to know. Thank you for your time Crc32. Much appreciated ;)

    • I've been ordering stuff from them (or their sister site iWoot) since April last year.
      10 orders in fact.
They say 24/48 hour dispatch but it's just about always 4 days to dispatch.
Most deliveries took 2 weeks, a couple took 3 weeks. They come from the UK.
About half my orders have arrived with the set box in really good condition and then the other half have been scuffed or crushed or even a few small holes. But I mostly just build and sell the set so I'm not thrilled but am ok with slightly damaged boxes.

      • +1

Thank you so much Douglas. I also do not mind a few scuffs or dents as long they arrive :) 2-3 weeks delivery is also fine by me. I appreciate all your feedback. Cheers.

      • Same experience here. 3 orders. One squished like a pancake, one ok, last one had a puncture that ripped into the lego box. Consider the price as buying lego with damaged box (or quite likely)

Anyone think the RRP of this set is too high even for LEGO standard?
For example, Lego Liebherr Excavator 42100 RRP is also AU$750 (can be had for only US$329, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/628362), and it contain much more Technic motorized function (3 XL Motors, 4 L Motors and 2 Smart Hubs) and 4108, while this set only have 2 x no. 15 motors, 2 L motors and 1 x Smart Hub.
Even pieces count is lower on this set (3854 pieces compared to 4108 pieces for Liebherr)

    • Agree, this set should be lower than Liebherr so probably $4xx is a fair price.

    • +2

I agree in regard to the number of motors and hubs but about 100 pieces of that Leibherr piece count is the loose bricks to fill the bucket which are kinda pointless.

I can see this set getting down to $500 at some point but at $580 I bit the bullet and ordered.

    • +1

Glad you brought this up. I'm actually looking for the liebherr for a good price. Seems alot of the places are out of stock. Do you perhaps know where I can look to buy this?

  • anyone know if the code is stackable with the cashrewards?

Cashrewards max is currently 17% for new users so it'll be around $470 after forex fees
