    • Thx you. Post edited.

  • Thanks heaps! Been waiting for one of these!

  • Thanks OP. Got 2. Kids christmas present sorted.

    • +6

Same. Bought for kids. Now I’m going to order pokemon replacement band on aliexpress 😄

      • Bought Honor Band 6 for my ones but exactly the same principle.

Kiddo said that others in her class have Fitbits. I said hold on a second, not spending that much.

Straight onto AliExpress and BangGood to look 🤣

        • +2

My fitbit ionic died after 13 months, so good call

      • This is a great idea! My kids is obsessed with Pokemon! Would you mind to share the link for the pokemon band? Thanks!

      • Pretty sure I've seen countless pokemon watch faces for the mi band 6 as well can get one for tour kids too!

    • Are there any rewards apps/functions similar to Garmin Jnr?

      • -1

Nope, these are marketed as kids toys

        • +6

They are marketed as fitness trackers.

          • +10

            @RickyJ: Doh!
I was meant to write "Nope, these aren't marketed as kids toys"

Then I went off to get a coffee… that'll learn me for commenting on OzB before coffee.

            • +1

              @bonezAU: I gave you a + to counter balance the negs……ha!

              • +1

@Borg: -3 for the error, +7 for the correction. I like the way there is more reward for acknowledging and fixing an error than there is punishment for the original error.

I think a lot of religions should close thier doors and just tell followers to join ozbargain.

      • Garmin ones also last like a yr battery

    • Just wondering if these are not too big for kids wrist !

      • +4

I've got the Mi Band 5 and it's a little bit big for my 5 year old son, miss 3 wouldn't let me try it on her but it have been way too big.

Alongside the Vivofit Jnr's they have got, the Mi 5 band is only a little bit longer but the holes on the kids watches are in a different place which makes them fit better on little wrists.

  • This will have nfc and we can link Mastercard i heard?

    • +1

      No, not the Global version.

      • Now global version comes with NFC

        • +5

          from the page:
          Note:
1.Mi band 6 has two version(standard version and NFC version). And about the NFC, only "Analog door card" function will be working out of mainland China.
2.This item is standard version without NFC.

          • @andyken: I wonder if you can buy the Mainland China version, select English language, and get access to full-NFC/Payments? Is it even worth the trouble?

I feel like the Mi Bands has a history of having a great total package, better than it's competitors, but then it has one big drawback which puts you off the purchase.

            • +1

@Kangal: I have the Chinese version. It has nfc, but Alipay only.

            • @Kangal: I have the Chinese version, it got Slowly and door pass. (Finally don't need to carry the my security card everywhere.

          • @andyken: Thanks for the clarification. The post should make that clear. Calling it the "Global Version" but then it not having NFC is anything but clear.

  • These look massive. Anyone own one that can comment on the size? I'm talking about the length of the screen part

    • +2

I've had mine for months. I upgraded from 4. It's a bit bigger on the wrist, but not massive at all - and a much better screen.

I'm 66 and female and I think it looks ok on my wrist.

I know there's a way to upload a photo here, but I can't remember how. Otherwise I'd take a pic.

    • It doesnt look big on my daughter's wrist. She is 155cm high, 45kg.

      • Thank you both for your answers!
        Ordered one!

  • -3

    Now with extra Xi!

  • I'm looking for something with the same features but is in a watch form factor. Any recommendations? Is there a Xiaomi Mi one?

    • Xiaomi Mi… Watch?

    • +1

Look for the Xiaomi Amazfit range

  • Thanks, been waiting for this.

  • Worth the upgrade from Xiaomi Mi Band 5?

    • +1

I upgraded from 4 and it was absolutely worth it. Much better screen, more sensors.

One major plus is the magnetic charging. No need to remove from band. Not sure if 5 had that.

    • +1

      I upgraded from a 5 and I think it's worth it but ymmv…

      For me:
      - the slightly bigger screen makes all the difference in being able to read it easily for me
      - the spo2 reader is one of the main reason I wanted the 6… I know it's not greatly accurate but it's still provide me with a trend and indication
      - if coming from the band 4, the magnetic charger is worth it alone

But that's pretty much it ….. But if you can wait, maybe the one they are releasing with nfc would be a better upgrade (but probably cost more)…. And it would be great if they ever at in gps…

      • How's the accuracy of distance tracking? I want to run with it but don't want to carry my phone for GPS. Am I better off getting something with GPS?

        • +1

I'm pretty happy with the tracking but then I'm not really concern about the accuracy…. I've compared it to the distance tracking on the Samsung fit and noticed that the mi band is constantly slightly higher…. But from my point of view as long as it is consistent within itself than I'm pretty happy with the count.

The mi band will use the gps on your phone if you have your phone with you so if you run with your watch you can start the workout on your phone and it'll use the gps on the phone for tracking and mapping your run

        • +1

I run the same distance several times a week and it records that same distance with accuracy.

  • +1

I have mi band 4 no NFC - really want one that I can tap and pay,. I do t want to drop my new s21 like I did using my S10+ to tap mobile Myki.

  • +1

Mine is broken and waiting for customer service to reply. 0/10

  • +2

Don’t buy anything from this company. Very hard to deal with for hornoring warranty. Avoid!!

    • Not sure why your being downvoted for a tangible experience? I'm waiting on my faulty product result. I really hope they respond soon.. getting concerned

      • +1

They only reply once a day and ask you to test this and that, until you lose your patience, I think they are using delaying tactics. Don't buy any expensive electrical appliance, if it breaks, gonna be a big headache! Hope you will have good luck with them.

  • -4

What do people use these for? They're known to be poor for fitness and sleep tracking.

  • Who is taking these 50m underwater?!

  • +1

I got it for $41.44 with the Allowance discount for a new user. Thanks OP!

    • Dammit, I ended up paying $42.86.

    • $45.69 for me :(

  • NFC?

  • Thanks thought I'd give it a try at this price. Worst case I pass it to one of my brothers kids.

  • Thanks, ordered one for my son to replace his Mi Band 4. It should be a good upgrade for him. Hopefully it arrives before Christmas.

  • Does this have any functionality that monitors quality of sleep like the Garmin does?

  • Thank you OP. Ordered one at $42.86 with new member allowance discount.

    • Update 12/11/2021

I still haven't received my Mi Band 6 from Banggood. It took two weeks deliver to Aus, further two weeks for the local delivery service (PFL logistics and some shit kicker courier) to deem my address incorrect twice. With no option to pick up my beloved Mi Band 6, I've had to resort to purchasing another one through EBay.

      A bloody Bangshit experience.

  • +2

Damn, my Miband 4 just won't get broken. No reason to upgrade 😷💪🏿

    • +2

      Same with my band 3

    • +1

I've destroyed like 4 or 5 watch bands and the little OLED screen on my Mi Band 2 is only visible in a pitch dark room with no lighting.

      …I'm still procrastinating about upgrading.

  • Is there a cheap wayto get replacement charger cable

  • Also I've ordered multiple things from this company from China and no issues everything arrived working just took 4 weeks LOL

  • Anyone know if these have the same issue as the others where when water hits the screen it counts as an input. I can't tell you how many times Ive had music skips happen while Im in the shower.
Will upgrade if the issue is resolved on this one.
    Ive currently got the 4

    • +3

Can't imagine using these in a shower. The wet water under wrist would piss me off. Not to mention that it'll undoubtfully smell.

All I know is that the new Samsung gear watch has erroneous input with water whereas the iWatch doesn't.

    • I wear mine in the shower. The water doesn't trigger the screen at all. Also no issues with water under the wrist. Somehow it dries out very quickly. I'm happy with it.

  • I had the Mi Band 3 back in the day. It died after a few showers.
Anyway, have they added core body temperature monitoring to these yet?

  • Any alternative that has proper NFC and payments that work in Aus?

  • Do these require a connected phone?

Looking for a cheap watch with step counter.

    • +1

Only for things like notifications and weather. All other things work

    • +1

Only for initial set-up. Beyond that no. To adjust config or set Alarms, does req the app.

  • Is cn version any cheaper? I cant find at banggood. I kkow cn version turns in rnglish once connected to phone so i dont mind. Can someone share cn version link?

  • These are not good health trackers. Scientific review: https://youtu.be/jFrxr1LYU0I

  • +1

    I have a Band 5.
I can't adjust the alarm time, only turn it on or off. It seems stuck on 7am.
    Could it be user error?

    • Adjust/edit it from the app.

      • Ok cheers. Bit dumb if that's the only way…

  • Can't seem to find if you can turn bluetooth off on the Mi 6. Someone who has one can you share if this is possible?

  • Invalid Coupon

    • Same :/

    • Yea, coupon no longer works

  • Hello OP, This is again available with code BG1d8be6. You might want to repost.

    • Buyer beware. You'll pay for your goods but will never receive them. And when that happens, it is unlikely you will get a refund, probably some Banggood store credit to again buy something you will never receive.

      Speaking from experience.

      • How many orders are you talking about here i.e. many or just the one?

Speaking from personal experience I buy from Banggood all the time and for the last many many years and have never had an issue.
As for refunds, they absolutely do give those as I have cancelled an order in the past and in one instance had to do a warranty return which was refunded for due to no longer in stock.

        • Borg, it's just the one, and if it's this bad then just one is enough.

        • Same, never had a problem. Also, I only use paypal.
