Not the cheapest ever. Was $650 at AfterPay sale earlier in the year. But with all shipping issues worldwide seems like a good deal at the moment.

Weber 56060124 Family Q Titanium LPG
789.00 minus Good Guys eBay promo = $670.65

This Weber Family Q BBQ 56060124 is the ultimate home entertaining tool. It's the largest in the Weber Q range, feeding up to fifteen people at a time. Food is cooked really quickly with the lid down so you can cook a batch of food and start cooking the next round sooner making it perfect for parties. Pre-heating the Family Q takes just ten minutes with a single push of the spark igniter, and it features a two burner system for barbecuing and roasting. For your barbecuing convenience, the cast-iron grills split in half to accommodate an optional Weber Q Hot Plate to sizzle prawns, lamb cutlets or veggies while grilling steaks on the opposite side. You can even roast a large leg of lamb or bake a pie for dessert using the optional Weber Q Trivet and Q Convection Tray that transforms the Family Q into an instant oven, moving heat all around for perfectly browned meats that are juicy on the inside. And, homemade pizza night has never been easier with the optional Weber Q Pizza Stone for that authentic taste. Plus, the Weber Family Q BBQ is economical to run: it's equivalent to a four burner BBQ but uses less than half the gas, so you'll barbecue up to forty meals using the same 9kg bottle. The Weber Family Q is built tough with a durable cast aluminium lid and body. You'll have plenty of cooking flexibility and easily feed a large crowd thanks to this Weber BBQ.

Highly recommend the ones with a thermometer. Good deal for this one though!

Also has a higher lid and different ignition system. It's a long term investment so I think the premium model is worth it.

Can you get them on special?

      • No, the ones with the thermometer and higher lid are exclusive to Weber stores

      • Rarely. The best I got was free scraper, free wire brush and free delivery from a store that was relocating. They had some floor stock on decent clearance prices but they weren't the premium models.

    • So this one does not have a thermometer? Looks like some meter in the picture ?

      • +2

Nah it doesn't. The thermometer is in the middle near the top of the lid - if it has one.

        • Thanks - pity - that is a deal breaker for me :-(

    • You can also buy a thermometer and drill it in yourself.

    • i thought you could install the thermo yourself?

      • +2

You could but you can't make the lid higher :)

How’s this compare with the Ziggy 3 burner? Anyone owned both that can provide comment?

  • How does Weber lpg compare with the regular 4/6 burners from Bunnings et Al

Why the premium price for gas bbq? Any option to use charcoal with these too or pure lpg only?

Gas only. They are extremely efficient, and work well for cooking almost anything. I do roast chicken, roast lamb, roast pork, beef briskets as well as the usual BBQ sausages chops, steaks etc. I suggest you have a look at the Weber site and youtube channel and then decide if it's for you. I bought my Premium Q 7 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat.

    • My family bought me a Weber Family Q 3200 in about August. I am very impressed with how quickly and evenly it cooks. I've been cooking roast potatoes (1kg wrapped in foil with oil, S&P), sausages, fish fillets. I'm yet to roast a chicken but I can't wait to try.

      • Get the roasting trivet and it opens up a world of possibilities.
I also forgot to mention I also have the pizza stone which is great

        • I've bought both of those accessories but haven't used them yet. I've got a discounted whole chicken to try out soon.

  • I don't see no photo of the bbq with enough food for "feeding up to fifteen people at a time" in the linked webpage.

I love Webers - but on that particular statement I call BS

    • I have 4 kids and they often have a friend each over, so I'm regularly cooking for 10-15 people. Are the Weber Q's big enough for that many people?

      • They cook so quickly that doing two batches wouldn't take long anyway.

Worth calling out the Family Q in black is also on sale
