i have several bodum products and they are all high quality.

    • meh, not really. there glass breaks the same as ikea $1 glass breaks.

the inflated price is in the name, nothing state of the art here.

go to ikea and get $8 UPPHETTA coffee press and 4 $1 STELNA glass cups for a total of $12 and save yourself 50 more dollars.

I own both bodum and ikea. no difference in taste.

      • ikea don't have a store in my state and they want 50 dollars for shipping last time i checked. no thank you.

        • well nothing is near woop woop, lol.

you can also go to kmart and get the $7 coffee press and 4 glass cups with a handle for $8 = $15 total and save $50.

if you also don't have a kmart near you, please move and come back to modern civilisation, we aren't all robots with flying cars, yet. lol

other options are big w, target, etc…

    • I've got the double-wall glass, it breaks easily. :(

      • +1

Using the double-wall glass is very good, no condensation, keeps beverages warm. Handles both hot and cold well, and thermal shock resistant.

But as with all glass things, dont drop them. Dont give them to kids (that arent responsible)

      • if it's the same one i have, it's borosilicate glass which is more resistant to thermal shocks (going from very cold to very hot or vice versa) but is more brittle as a result. soda lime glass is less resistant to thermal shocks, but it is not as brittle as borosilicate glass.

  • Any jokes?

    Bodum tish!

  • Been using Bodum French presses for a couple of years with no problems. Haven't had a breakage, the quality is quite good.

  • Still expensive. There was a french press from Myers a few weeks back for 12 dollars

  • Anyone in Sydney interested in going on together to get free shipping?

I'm only after 4x Pavina 10oz, which comes to $30. If someone else after the same or equivalent works out well at $7.5 per glass!
