    This one looks to have sucked all of the fun out of the series and packaged it up in a safe and sterile "product".

      if by "fun" you mean the lunacy of 3 and 4 then im all in since i loved 1 and 2 but then it got too stupid for my likings.

        2 was by far the best game, had an amazing story and exceptional gameplay to it.
        I really disliked the alien and unrealistic aspect of 3, never even knew there was a 4.

        All things considered, this looks alright.

        Agree with you guys. Saints Row 2 was the best in the series. Saints Row 2 was like GTA but more straight fun, less serious, and had a storyline with heart. Saints Row 3 and 4 tried too hard to be different and wacky for the sake of it. Hopefully this new game will be a return to form.

          @Save Medicare: Especially with the being able to build your own gangs, reputation, etc factors.
          I think GTA with those features would be incredible.. SR2 was ahead of it's time.

      I have seen this complaint on the promo videos, and I don't see it? It looks like it might actually be a more polished game for once, with still the same basic energy, just updated with 2020 era stereotypes for the characters rather than mid 2000's.

  Veering away from what made the Saints franchise fun and instead focusing on woke politics.

    I'm not much of a pre-order person anyway, but this one I wouldn't consider buying at all until the reviews are out. It seems like they have screwed this one up big time.

  I missed a lot of saints row but looking forward to a PS5 version, hoping it hits the mark with graphics and gameplay and story.
