    This one is great if you're out bush and want to start a fire as it's an arc between two points.

    The deal posted would be best to light a ciggie from what I can tell.

    Yeah those pictures are terrible, Looks like a heating element (or bit of fuse wire wrapped in a coil) .. Which wouldnt be a plasma lighter
    Cant even find a video of it.

    Works really well, seemingly would work well as a taser too.

  This one has the plasma coil (per the pic)…for around this price range, get a plasma arc instead (in my opinion, is a much better unit).

  Or wait for another Amazon sale from one of the 3rd party sellers that sell the plasma arc version.

  I did a search on Aliexpress - Plasma Lighter and this one came up with 1089 orders US$0.15 + $3.49 delivery + GST $4.01 (~AU$5.40)

  Bought this exact lighter from AliExpress for a couple of dollars and it is a fire hazard IMO. Nothing locks the mechanism to light it up so It could easily start a fire if accidentally knocked

    plasma lighters are really handy when lighting stuff in high winds when matches keep getting blown out.

    plus they are rechargeable so you dont have to buy matches or refill the standard wand lighters with liquid fuel
