    Nice specs

Is this plug and play with standard E27 / lamp / indoor light fittings

It gives off the impression of easy installation screw-in-and-done from the descriptions

    Safe (⚡🔥)? No transformers etc

Does it come with a bayonet adapter? Are those adapters legal/safe?

  • thanks OP. placed an order.

I wish it comes with motion sensor, would have been very handy feature.

    Found this, 2 x 100w lights for $46.99

    https://www.amazon.com.au/LVYOUIF-DEFORMABLE-Lighting-Ceilin…

Looking for one that plugs into AC to replace my single LED downlight.

  • I'd be surprised if the lumen output was actually 12000??

Are these safe too? Would hate for it to cause a house fire?

    • +1

      That's a lot of questions.

I'd be surprised if the lumen output was actually 12000??

Yes, you would! Based on different wattage vs output articles, eg. on Wikipedia, at 120 W it might be pulling 12k lm.

      Are these safe too?

I'd say so, it's being sold to people…

Would hate for it to cause a house fire?

      Yes!

      • Are these safe too?

I'd say so, it's being sold to people…

Hmmm - I'm not sure that implies product safety 🤔

  • Is there one that plugs into a PowerPoint? Preferably with sensor?

Is there one that plugs into a PowerPoint?

You may want to check with Microsoft re that.

Hi Rep, are these delivered from Aus or dropshipped from China?

I have something similar from AliExpress. All I will say is don't expect it to be actually 120W. In my experience (I own 3 different deformable lights) the wattage they are claiming is generally the "incandescent equivalent" wattage, not the wattage pulled by the bulb. As is this is equivalent to a 120W incandescent bulb so will actually draw about 20-30W. That said, making this roughly four times brighter would be unnecessary and would be way too bright for most uses outside of a grow op.

    • Short version : China Watts are a whole different category

      • True Chigawatts! 😇

    B22 would be better

    • Can't even think of how many times a plastic B22 socket crumbled (because of the tension and heat around it) when I was replacing a globe. Or B22 would be bent and a pain to straighten. That's how it's been in rental properties.

Also, E27 allows for a bit of adjustment as you can rotate those four LED panes a little. Not really advised as it's safer to have it properly screwed in, but it's something that's not possible with B22.

I have somthing similar - bought them 4 weeks ago to replace my 2 garage lights which were way too dim for my 4 car garage.
2 of these andi will never complain again. Thr whole garage is flooded with light! U do have to buy the adapters though

  • Can I somehow connect this myself if I have fluorescent lights in my garage (ie, no visible bayonet fitting)? Or, is it a job for an electrician? Appreciate advice.

    • +1

According to the law, it's $200 for an electrician.

  • Just saw this at 22% off at the moment, comes down to $32.67

How about swapping the B22 socket with the E27, available at Bunnings?
