Isn't it rather late for spring? But seriously are these varieties suitable for SE QLD? Thinking of sending them as a gift but I know nothing about flowers.

  Spring-flowering bulbs need to be planted in autumn. They then do their thing in the ground (get plump) and burst out in spring.
