  they look pretty thick. will they affect the sizing of the shoe or how your heel sits in the heel pocket?

    Generally they do, this is both an advantage and a disadvantage. I've often used insoles to reduce wiggle in boots for example.

      yeah handy if you bought a pair of shoes that were just a bit too big and thick socks don't quite fill the void.

      my problem is the opposite. need some decent thinner ones that i can use in my ultraboosts that were 1/2 to 1 size too small. i tried taking out the insole but found it uncomfortable walking directly on the boost pellets.

        You can use the cheap insoles that are just pure unsupported foams from Woolies or Coles.
        Alternatively, you might consider half soles.

        Nowhere near as comfortable or supportive but you have to make do with the limited space.
