It was available preorder opening for like a week that didn't really sell out fast unlikely sold out quickly at Europe & USA. Australia must be lucky.

    • That's surprising, I guess there aren't many SMT fans in Australia? Well, me and the 3 friends I told about this deal are happy as we missed out the first time.

    • Could also just be that EB Games has purchase limits, unlike in the US.

  • +1

Great for those who missed out. I was lucky enough to pre-order when it first dropped at EB Games.

If I don't want it can I have my $30 back? Never played this series, might need to do some research.

    • Yep, assuming you chose click and collect you can go in store and they will refund it for you.

Just be sure to ask for your interest on top…

    • Why are you preordering a collector's edition for a game series you've never played or even know enough about?

It's going to be a good game for sure, but not everyone loves turn based combat

  • Last time lasted about 1-2 days.

Metroid dread special edition lasted about 2 weeks first time and then only a few hours.

Same will happen with this one, it will sold out fast

Might be worth something with that bag.

It might just replace my purse…

    Got one! Thanks OP.

    Awesome grabbed one thanks

Shin Megami Tensei V Full Game

You mean, there's an edition of this game that is less than the full game…

Ninty are getting more and more audacious…

  • +1

Thanks OP, ordered one. Missed out last time they were up.

Regular edition is $80 if you don't care about the bag/extras

    https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/nintendo-switch/217644-sh…

    • -6

Exactly. $80 take $20 to $25 latitudepay promo (requires purchasing via Catch or HN) is ~$60.

Is an OST, steel case, 'book', and bag worth $80?

      IMHO.. no.

PS: Other stores like JB have the standard edition for $69, not $80, last I checked.

      • I think the true value here is that ATLUS collectable editions tend to appreciate better than average.

The book sounds interesting, the bag not so much

  • I no longer buy CEs but anything Shin Megami Tensei will hold its value in the future.

A standard copy is enough for me.

  • +2

Dang, wanted this. Hopefully someone will cancel theirs when it releases, that's how I got the fire emblem 30th anniversary box. (Although disappointed no actual physical game cart)

    • +1

That was the worst CE in s long time

  • Is it likely that they'll get more or it will be available again?

    • Probably not, Nintendo and Sony are well known to only produce a very limited quantity of their limited editions regarding first party games.

  • So damn keen for this game. Knowing the value of previous SMT games, it's definitely worth trying to get your hands on this collector's edition.
If you missed out, keep an eye on the site around the time of the game's launch, as they'll often sell leftover stock that people decided not to purchase for whatever reason.

  • looks like the scalpers have listed these on ebay now:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/115053955450?hash=item1ac9c0097a…

  • :( scalpers feel sorry for the fans that want it, that will have to pay outrageous prices for it

  • oh what….. not checking ozb for one day and I've missed out :(

  • Picked my copy up today but if you ordered one go asap to do it as 4 copies i checked out at my local EB Games had some damage to it.

Two have had a knife cut through it which i presume was when they were cutting open the delivery box.

    • Mine had a crease on one side but ah well, could be worse.
