The Dyson Hot™ fan heater uses Air Multiplier™ technology for long range heat projection to heat the room quickly. There are no fast-spinning blades or visible heating elements, so it’s easy to clean. There’s also an automatic cut out that switches the heating plates off if it’s tipped over

  • edit: nevermind

  • umm, anyone speak french?

    • +2

      Umm, Google Chrome! :)

  • this is a better ebay link:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?LH_BIN=1&_sop=15&LH_Price=…

but cheapest there is still $387, and this one even after 3% forex charge (your bank might not charge anything) is still cheaper! good deal

    • Yes i saw that BUT..the location of the item is in US of the A..so 110v (i guess) i dont wanna take the risk.

  • I'm more interested in the DYSON DC29 FOR EUR234.99:

    http://www.amazon.fr/Dyson-21840-01-DC29-DB-Origin/dp/B004VC…

which probably works out to be AU$300, but couldn't work out the the info in french…

    • Google translator

    • Bought that yesterday.. N it's already shipped :-)

      • The Vacuum Cleaner or the Heater??, how much is the shipping cost?

        • Both.. Shipping is included in the price ;-), heater from Amazon fr and vacuum from Amazon de

  • Would this work out cheaper than an oil heater for a small room?

    • If you own oil heater then no way.

They are also the cheapest to run.

    • +1

Both will use the same amount of electricity for the same heat output. Resistive heaters. Expensive to run compared to reverse cycle AC or gas heaters.

But then the fan feature might get the hot air to where it is needed, if you don't mind sitting in a warm draft…

  • Damn the vacuum is definitely tempting! How would the warranty work?

Dyson AU seem to say their guarantee is valid only for the country of purchase http://www.dyson.com.au/support/help.asp?article=73&product=… but doesn't say if Dyson AU would honor overseas purchases..

  • Hey akula, can you let us know how it all went.

How is your purchase? Quick delivery? Item and box not damaged? Have you asked dyson Aust if they will cover your product here?

    TIA
