looks just like $3.99 stylus from meritline http://www.meritline.com/2-in-1-universal-capacitive-screen-…

  • I bought a $1 or $2 pen last time when some guy recommended in the reply, which works perfect, $25? seems way too much.

      • my bics pen works just fine thank you very much

        • -3

          :) I use them myself

        For many,

iPad vs ePad, the differences MATTER in many many way…

$2 Stylus vs $25 stylus, doesn't matter…because $25 one doesn't do 10 times better as it only does 1 simple thing..

        • -6

          Actually, no

          A $2 stylus will not be push-sensitive.

Yes it will write, but writing will not as smooth legible, same with pens.

Try drawing with one of these on the iPad and I beg to differ.

I thought the same, bought a $3 stylus on eBay and the thing smudged on my iPad screen. Because the plastic piece was made from recycle rubber -

      • rep must be high
if this is a mont blanc then an ipad must be a mercedes, overpriced and useless

        obviously neverheard of wacom

        • Don't need to be too harsh. While I won't pay $25 for it, it does come with a pen and a stylus…

Even COTD is half the price of this, delivered. (this always pops up on their $10 or less days)

  • +3

i believe this is ozbargain.. what we are doing is complaining about the item and not the price..
if someone was looking for the ozaki l-pen and saw this then its considered a bargain

Call me sour grapes, but seriously are getting to the point where we don't see the point in posting any deals on OZB

We run a deal, one that's competitive, but every time we post a deal, our brand name products get compared to alternatives.

If that's what people want, then by all means, we are in the wrong place.

Because what we sell are brand name cases and accessories,

And yes, there will always be cheaper alternatives -

You see the thing is more than half the people in ozbargain are the exact same types of people who can never justify in their mind who on Earth would buy a suit worth $600 compared to one bought at Lowes. Or perhaps to a more greater extent, why should they buy a pair of A. Testoni shoes compared to their current leather shoes that they've been repeatedly buying from Target their entire lives.

They [ozbargainers] will always judge goods based on their monetary value for their function as opposed to the luxury component derived from that good.

I'm not saying people who purchase luxury goods are superior to those that like more generic products but what the rep says is the truth as comparing a product that has the same function does not make it an item to be scrutinised because you found a stick on the ground that magically works with the ipad.

And to communicate my point across to bagachin. A Louis Vuitton wallet costing $800 does not mean it has 10 times the compartment pocketa and durability of an Oroton wallet. If Hermes had a discount of 20% off all items (when pigs fly) does that mean its not a bargain because it's a measely 20%?

        • They [ozbargainers] will always judge goods based on their monetary value for their function as opposed to the luxury component derived from that good.

Cockpoppy. I want to see what it is about this that is worth 10x the price of the cheapie. If I don't then it's not worth the money.

And seriously, those who think the stuff you buy on ebay and $2 shops are the same, dont assume unless you know what your talking about.

Anyways, enough said for today. I'm sure those who shop with us know where to find us.

    Bye bye for now

I have used this before (had the black one). Its a good quality stylus, not denying that but for the use i was putting it through found the nubs shape and texture a little off. i think the one I settled on is the wacom stylus… mmm not sure need to find it.

Personally $20 is the max i think a stylus is ever really worth (for a really good one) because in the end they all pretty much do the same thing they are just 'dumb' objects that we jab at the screen that don't really connect and transmit to the tablet/ phone itself.

yes, the $2 ebay ones are awful! Go for brand names when choosing one.

So Aceboy884, can you tell us what the difference between a cheaper (not necessarily $2 ebay one) stylus and the ozaki one is? and why it's worth the extra? Genuine question, I am in the market for a stylus and have no idea on the differences at present.

      1. Build quality, the weight of a pen matters whenit comes to writing.

These are made of aluminium, there is no shortcut to it.

      1. Tip of the stylus are pressure sensitive, e.b. when you sign, it will be legible, likewise if you press down, it will be a thicker stroke.

      2. Price wise, you will pay $20 for a decent pen. Its half pen, half stylus. I have a genuine mont blanc, not the same. But it is a very well made pen in its own right.

      3. Styke, i can guarantee you the product looks exactly like the photos, how many times have there been cheap shit with good photos, only to turn up like a piece of crap on delivery.

      • Tip of the stylus are pressure sensitive, …

The sensor is in the iPad not the stylus.

        • I think this is marketing wan- err speak for saying that the amount of rubbery bit touching the surface of the ipad changes depending on the amount of pressure used whilst utilising the pen.

ie stating the blandly obvious in a an- man. I've run out of willpower to go on. I feel dirty now.

  • I can't speak for this brand but I have tried a few $2 iPad stylus' from Ebay and they have been total junk. You have to push crazy hard for it to even work and then it wears the nub off.

In saying that, my $25 Targus one is 100 times better but the iPad itself just isn't meant for a stylus, at least not for drawing or hand writing as the response is just too slow. You'll be writing and the screen is still drawing the previous word. Not sure if that's the touch screen, the apps or the gpu.

  • +1 for backing up your product and I can 100% see where you are coming from.

positive vote cos he knows people are frustrated with draw something and want to produce masterpeices

  • haha yeh. I can see it. But tbh $25 is still a bit much for a pen.
Mont Blanc of stylus's? Hyperbole much :P
Pretty sure these don't have diamonds in the end.

  • I just bought a $10 amazon basic stylus … Good enough and great reviews. I think shipping was something like $6.

  • Morning all,!

Thanks for the positive comments, it made my day.

Yesterday wasnt the best of moods and I was going to be a cry baby and vouched never to post on Ozb again!!

We now have 5 votes, which means we can post another deal next week, it will be a super duper deal with some awesome Ozaki IPH4S and New iPad gears

Thanks again for all your support!
