    100%. The Amazon page doesn't claim this device supports Thunderbolt 3 (40Gbps), only USB Type-C (20Gbps). OzBargain is OK with misleading titles though, so whatever.

  USB-C/Alt-Mode (DP 1.2) based HDMI dongle. HDR is not mentioned so don't assume you get HDR with 4K using this dongle.

  I'm looking at a dual monitor setup for my laptop… already using the HDMI. I take it I can buy this for the USB-C port on my laptop for the second Monitor?

    It works for me, so should work for you too: one monitor through HDMI and one through USB-C via a similar adapter for $14 (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284076213665, HDMI version is out of stock now).

        I'll add that I've found some of the connectors are hit and miss. I've tried one from ebay & it didn't work, I've tried one from Umart and it works, but if I turn off my laptop I need to unplug and plug back in several times before the screen is recognised (not sure if that is a monitor issue or connector issue though)

    Very unlikely. The Switch is super picky with video output. Don't think it supports DisplayPort Alt-Mode.
