Lexar M35 JumpDrive 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive $18 + Delivery ($0 VIC C&C) @ Centre Com

510

On sale again for $18 as seen previously. CentreCom currently has a free shipping promo for orders over $79 and they have a ton of stuff on sale, no doubt could find something to bundle with this (or just buy a few of them since it's decent value).

  • Have the 64GB version and these are tiny and slippery when inserted as they really bite and aluminium. No activity light FYI. Good price. Thanks OP

Not a promo, this a regular thing.

Shipping kills the deal. Also see previous deal posts for this drive; lots of negative comments about it. Better options at Amazon.

The SanDisk USBs in your Amazon link might be better deals (free shipping is nice) but almost all of them have delivery dates 1-2 weeks. The rest on that page are either no-name brands or more expensive.
Additionally, a lot of the SanDisk ones in your link have poor reviews for write-speed issues down to the single digits MB/s.

I doubt CentreCom would be much faster right now, if at all. Cheapest shipping option is Aus Post which is notorious for delays currently.

Yep, wasn't meaning to say they're all better options.

Additionally, a lot of the SanDisk ones in your link have poor reviews for write-speed issues down to the single digits MB/s.

All of these cheaper drives get some bad reviews for slow speeds. I'd still be going with one of the SanDisk drives though based off the comments I've read for this Lexar drive, and having used SanDisk drives myself for years without issues.

If you're buying this drive with other stuff you were already getting anyway to hit the $79 for free shipping, then fair enough, it's not a bad deal.

  • I have one of these, the write speed isn't accurate and is quite slow, I tried on various different USB 3.0 ports and on my laptop to no avail. The read speed is accurate though.

    • The 150MB/s is a read speed, I don't think they list the write speed there

  • I have the Sandisk Extreme 32GB, it is very fasting in both read and write speed, even in random small files, but it a bit small and old now. Looking at similarly fast flash drive to replace it. Any similarly fast flash drive other than the same Sandisk Extreme range?

    • I have this exact one. It has painfully slow writes. The equivalent offering from Sandisk is the Sandisk Ultra, which also has painfully slow writes. Sandisk reserves "extreme" for flash storage with fast writes. The fast Lexar is the p30

You will never see a USB thumb drive with fast writes at a price as low as the ones with slow writes like this one.

  • Is this good for say chucking on 4k movies and plugging into a ps5 to watch?

    • +1

Yes. Write speed will be slow but it's a great deal faster than what is needed to play 4k video.

    • If what everyone else says about write speed is true, no.

You'll start copying and then wait a while for it to finish.

  • So are there ANY sub $30 ones that have good write speed? ALL the ones ive seen on amazon have bad reviews for write speed…..

Sandisk Extreme Go 64GB. You can find them for under $30 without shipping.

      • But that’s not 128GB.
