I don't like the idea of it at the top of the screen but one of my favorite features of the Acer X34 is the LED strip underneath it.

It lights the desk up in a pleasing way and it's also useful for seeing.

      just buy RGB strip…

      • Most of the cheap ones will give you eye strain due to micro-flicker

Why do we need this? For people having trouble reading on standard monitors?

    • I think the fact that it illuminates the keyboard area means that you can use that area for something else like studying (I am old fashioned in that I study better with a pen and paper) and probably other things.

      • Hope it doesn't have much bleed. Adding something that will increase the glare on your monitor …

        • Eh people who own it seem to say (at least on this post) that the direction of the light is away from the monitor.

I have seen people saying that you should buy ones with asymmetric lighting, for that reason. At least according to the product description, it seems like this one does have that?

I don't understand the benefits of a light shining into your screen as demonstrated in the photos?

    • It points away from your screen, to light up your desk/workspace.

      • Obviously photoshopped - inevitably, light will fall onto and be reflected off screen.

          It doesn't.

        • It doesn't. I'll take a photo of the one I have when I get home.

@6f0edd329de61a3ce4aa (I hope I spelt your name correctly) It would then need a slim angle of illumination so it won't shine
into the screen or your eyes. All the Baseus demo photos show the light shining into the screen, including the photo you linked.

        • I have purchased this. It does work.

Biggest issue I have is it doesn't fit very well onto my really thick monitor (M27Q)

I brought this last time… and got stuck with the clip mechanism. It compresses the top of the screen. With zero bezel monitors this is a no go. With an old monitor it didn't work (too fat). Other models 'hang' and work on both kinds of monitor.

The quality of light in this is good but the clamp mechanism isn't very good. Only the slimmest of monitors are compatible, that basically rules out most gaming monitors or ultrawide.

Just bought a BlitzWolf BW-CML2 from Banggood for AU$35 inc GST. It's being shipped from China so it will take longer to turn up, but I paid $5 more to get priority shipping with an ETA of 10 November to Brisbane. For my use, the extra functionality outweighed the extra week or two of waiting for it to be delivered.

Can save an extra US$2 with coupon BGALML22. FYI can paste the BG or AliExpress product link here to check for any current coupons.

Also if the item is yet to ship can cancel via live chat and reorder with coupon.

Thanks, I didn't think to check couponsfromchina - it's normally my first stop.

  • How does this do with curved monitors?

    • +1

The clip works fine on curved monitor. I'm currently use this on Xiaomi 34", have no issue at all.

    • I had my Dell monitor, its not fitting. You should check the thickness of the monitor which i have missed to check and now its not usable…

  • I bought one from JB HiFi but it will not fit on my 30mm thickness monitor.
