• Nice deal. Allphones sells them for $179 prepaid with $5 credit(Virgin mobile) - I think its only in black(unsure whether there is a choice of colour). Also vaguely remember that Target may have sold these for about the $160 mark a few weeks ago- saw it in their catalogs - most likely clearance stock.

Cheers

• Allphone's (and Virgin's) price has dropped to $159, inc. $5 credit.

• Allphones and Target sell the phone being locked. According to Shopping Safari, the phone is Unlocked.

• yep its unlocked, they had a promotion on their newsletter before stating that obviously.

• This is a great phone i bought one back when they were about 400~ on ebay, lasted a year before it went through the wash ;)

Just for anyone wondering about the slide, it was all good, didn't loosen over time which some models can.

• does any1 know any coupons? for Shopping safari thanks :)

• I ordered one and received it. It is LOCKED. Also, as per usual samsung phone, it had the seal sticker. However, it was over another sticker that was opened. Inside, the cables weren't tidy and I think I've been sold something other than brand new.
I will be following up with them.

• Any idea that which network is it locked to? Duriankun works for Shopping Safari and maybe he can shed some light on this.

• I don't think I can tell. I couldn't see anything that marks any particular carrier. When I start the phone with a optus/vodafone sim, it says "Network Lock" and asks me to enter a 8 digit pin. Definitely not a PIN or PUK. I don't have a telstra sim to test it though..

• I have had the exact same issue, but at least my phone appears to be new. I have contacted them to see what the deal is but have not heard back yet. Will keep you posted.

• They have just provided the network key to me over the phone - it took a while for them to get the correct key off Samsung. It is now working fine and I am very happy with the phone. The customer service has been very helpful in getting the issue resolved.

• I was also able to resolve the lock. After some research, I found out that the phone can be unlocked without Samsung or Network to provide any key. WRT condition of the phone, the plastic logo at the back was coming off, but I found that it had something stuck underneath it. Removed it, and it seems OK. At this price, I'm OK with it.
