  if anyone ends up going, and for the first time, know that amsterdam is bloody cold in feb. worth going if not just for the van gogh museum

    Europe is cold. If you encounter the "beast from the east" (Russian winds), it's pretty damn unbearable. I normally travel to Europe Dec/Jan and recommend that people pick their sites to visit and things they wish to do and have a mixture of local and regional, and indoor / outdoor. Local Indoor activates (museums, concentration camps, Five Guys, Pubs etc) are great for those terrible days

      Umm… you have a strange way to enjoy your time.

      Westerbork was the only concentration camp in the Netherlands (to my knowledge). And this was mainly a starting point for many on a horrible journey east.
