I reckon this is a really cheap price for a 73 inch tv. Good price

 - Ah thanks I take back my + vote. Try mentioning it's not in Australia!

 - Reviews comment that it's refurbished. Looks good regardless. There has been a few blokes harping on about these on whirlpool for ages. Would be good to see one in action
 - Saw this set in US last year, STOPPED me in my tracks. Huge screen.
 drool…..
Is a dlp ( which I personally like ) just not as thin as other options. - i often see the "rainbow" effect with my DLP projector, no doubt the TV would be the same? - No, that's the "rainbow connection". - By the way, why are there so many songs about rainbows?

 - I'd never buy a RP TV. Colour and contrast (vs LED), viewing angles, lack of placement options, weight, depth.. all negs.
 - HUGE!
 - no deal since it shipped from overseas too much too spend on a tv, at 73" I thought it would have a refresh rate higher than 120hz since it has such a humongous screen size. nothing about the specs screams unique or eye catching.
 - Why post an overseas deal without stating what the postal costs are or atleast are likely to be? Sorry thats quite poor. - Loads of things are cheap overseas but thats kinda pointless to 99.9% of this site's users unless the postage etc is factored in and they're STILL cost effective. - Amused by the pix of the TV - they show you every angle but side on and from the rear, presumably so you can't gauge depth etc. I highly doubt they'd even ship this to Aust. Almost certain to have no warranty, also possibly need a step down transformer - and the list goes on.
 - Does somebody want to get a delivery price for our amusement? I tried but it didnt want to give me an estimate (only filled out step 2, maybe thats why) - use Fedex or UPS freight for extra amusement
 - LOL. Imagine receiving it and it's damaged. - Use http://tinypic.com/ next time. Saves 2 extra mouse clicks. - @ orange123, Yes thanks, thats the one i was after.

 - http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/Mitsubishi-WD-73740.htm - Weight 90.9 lbs.
 Dimensions (W x H x D)
 (without stand or speakers) 65.0" x 43.6" x 17.9"
 - Pretty impressed to see rear projection TV's back in vogue.
maybe i won't put my 50" Pioneer RP on the nature strip for hard rubbish now…… - Don't think they're back in vogue at all mate - certainly not here. The US just seems to have a much bigger market for them, I guess it makes sense there with their population. Same with HD CRT's back in the day, which never really caught on here. - Didn't even know they ever made HD CRTs! - Negging, I suspect the OP is a troll. - They were pretty amazing but rare here. I think we got them later than the US and by the time we did get them plasmas & LCDs were already here. I had one and it looked beautiful but weighed more a small hatchback. Easily 80-90kg.
 - arguably best HD CRT was Sony KVHR36M31:

 - Did you even think before posting this?
Protip: If you want a rear projection look at gumtree. May not be new but people are getting rid of them for next to nothing.

How much is delivery?
Since it costs $60 to send a 250 gram SSD I bet it would cost double the cost of the tv to send it to oz.
It's also a refurb. No deal. Imagine the costs to send it back to the US.
