      These kinds of board games definitely have knock-offs available. My Catan knock-off was awful.

        Yeah would not trust aliexpress with that. At least if it were fake with Amazon you would have no issues returning it too. Doubt you would have any luck with aliexpress

      110% fake. I bought a couple of boardgames off aliexpress just to see and they are usually not terrible but definitely fake. I got Jaipur, Splendor and Love Letter and they were all fake. Jaipur and Splendor were even mini versions of the original games which is kinda cool in a way for travel size versions but absolutely fake. The quality is so so. You get way you pay for essentially but definitely more affordable if that's your main concern.

              @Damannation: Surveys through the Rewards App. They're usually in the vein of "Have you been to one of these shops?", and if so "What payment method did you use?".
              I've had a couple of more personal ones such asking about family status (married, kids) and home details (renting, owning).
              Definitely an easy way to get $15-$20 worth of Play Credit a year for minimal effort.

    Careful guys, the knockoffs for this game have unalligned tiles which makes it completely unplayable compared to other faked games.

        It could still be counterfeit, it just makes it easier to return. I've bought games from Amazon that turned out to be counterfeit, but the return process was very simple and I had my money back within a couple of weeks.

            @AncientWisdom: Fake stock can be mixed in - look up fulfilment by Amazon. Stock gets sent to the fulfilment centres and amazon sends it onto consumers on behalf of sellers. With that being said the board games I've received before are okay from them.

    Great game. We needed a new board game to mix it up from catan on game night, so took the plunge going into it semi-blind (only read a quick review) and bought the big box edition for ~$100.
    Great decision as its the go to game now when we just want to play a game for 30mins or so after dinner.

    I received my copy, and I can confirm it is a fake. The tiles are badly misaligned, both on the front and on the back. Not sure what to do. After trying to report at Amazon, it looks like they just want to send me another copy… 😑

      Amazon stock is mixed from different suppliers. The next one is less likely to be fake.

      Opened mine up to check and all roads/rivers seem centred at ~22.5mm.
      Kind of annoying that you have to confirm this, as I bought it as a gift, but will be opened. Oh well. Better than giving a fake…
