My local Aldi doesn't have the Special Buys bike shorts in stock, so I went looking for alternatives and found these shorts. Can't find mountain bike shorts for cheaper atm. However $80 RRP seems inflated.
Aldi is selling their version for $25.

Bit hard to tell from the photo, do they have just one pocket, on the rear?
Just grabbed some, one pocket on the rear, two side pockets and one side zip up phone pocket.

I just received mine and I'm happy with them for the price.
Made up of a light weight, stretchy padded inner and a board short style outer.
The inner is snug and has padding where you'd expect, although these are my first pair of padded bike shorts.
The outer are decent enough to wear by themselves for non-bike riding. They have a bit of stretch to them and have four pockets: one rear with zip and Velcro flap, one small zip pocket on the left hand side with reflective strips and two front pockets.
