  • Ordered, then cancelled after I read the reviews.
Perhaps a stand-up paddle board would be a better choice, quite a few reviewers say they crack\leak at the same seam after 4 uses.
The other reviews say the sides are so wide, it's like a sail and damaged by the oars.

    Anyone have one of these?

Apples and oranges.. Only you can make up your mind re what you want/need.

This is the cheapest kayak you can find and the previous deals around that price got tens of upvotes.

edit: The current regular price on Amazon is only $15 more. I assume they're normally out of stock there, right? And they're more expensive elsewhere. Anyway, here's the history of that kayak on OzB: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/intex-challenger-k2

  • I have one of these but admittedly have used it only once so far. The quality of the materials and construction was actually much sturdier than I was expecting, and far surpasses a cheapo inflatable boat type product (like the orange 'Explorer 2000' boats that have been around forever).

Can't speak to the longevity however.

I currently have two of these and I'm pretty happy with the quality ( for the price).

they've lasted at least 10 kayaks down a river last year, and I've been out twice this year without any trouble.

    • Thanks

    • is this for adult or child?

      • Weight capacity 180kg so two average Australian males (google tells me this was 85.9kg in 2011-12) and their esky with beers.

  • Any issues if solo?
