Actually that's only for limited categories (fashion, etc).
Pretty sure this is only 4% CB

  • Can anyone recommend some good stainless steel pans?
I'm unsure whether to go all out and get something around $140 for 28cm.

  • Meh….Tefal is pretty average really.

I'd be more inclined to just get cheaper Ikea ones, they'll be just as good.

These ones are really good, really even heat distribution and has been more efficient than most I've tried for induction. Also so far after a few months of use, they are really durable. I really doubt the Ikea ones will be "just as good", but they might better suit you?

      • Each to their own, but I've found the same with the Ikea ones, quite heavy (compared to cheap Coles ones), good coating that has so far lasted.

        • So have you compared to these ones then?

          • @onlinepred: Sounds like they are comparing a model to a brand experience and not model to model…

            /25 grains.

            • @PatoriaN: I have these pans, so I have these to compare against others I have bought in my induction cooktop testing. I never tested the ikea ones, or any super cheap ones. I was just wondering if the OP had compared them directly as they were saying the ikea ones are the same

              • @onlinepred: I like quality knives/pots & pans and do understand that there is a lot of difference and generally you get what you pay for.
I've tried a number of brands over the years and usually would never recommend cheap or anything Ikea…. BUT that specific Ikea one in the 28cm and 32cm versions is really good on an induction that has 3.4KW boost, it can handle the abuse and can sear a steak at high heat. The 24cm version is no good and if you don't have OCD and can deal with a dissimilar handle, this one in 24cm outperforms it https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/ikea-365-frying-pan-50329896/

For the price of the Ikea ones, they work amazingly well and when you inevitable wear them out it is no where near as painful as when that happens to a $150 pan.

  • Pretty sure these are made in china as they like to specifically advertise the made in France ones .

I'd just get one high quality nonstick made in France Tefal without the celebrity chef name, unless you really need two nonstick pans. Jamie Oliver sucks anyway.

    • Agreed haha, although after shopping around these were far cheaper.

This set has lowest grade of coating (Titanium Standard), guaranteed to scratch in 6 months.

Why one would buy cookware with a star name on it? To display on the kitchen wall?

Price is back down to $104 (on 13 Nov)

  • I just grabbed one in store today.
