Eufy Wireless 1080p Security Camera System 4 Pack - T8833CD2 $559.20 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ Supercheap Auto

110

RRP $699, this deal saves approx $139

My understanding is aside from a small difference in resolution 1080P vs 2K, most of the other specs are very similar to the 2c Pro.

Price and store in title please.

    • oops, seems someone has added price now ($559.20) online and most Supercheap stores from what I've seen

  • 1080p to 2K is not small. There is extra clarity when you zoom in

“ 2K and 1080p resolution have the same number of vertical lines: 1,080. However, a 2K image is slightly wider than 1080p, making it the larger of the two resolutions. Whereas DCI 2K native resolution contains 2,048 pixels along the horizontal axis, 1080p has only 1,920 pixels.”

I do not think that difference would be very noticeable.

I was going to buy into the Eufy ecosystem, until I found out that all the crook needs to do is hold the sync button on the camera for 10 seconds and all your footage stored on the homebase is erased…

Seems like a pretty big failure of logic for a security camera system..

      Yep. Check out this discussion.

GG Commercial has a decent deal if still looking.

      • This is really concerning. I wonder if the Cloud Storage option can be a workaround. :-(

    • Geez, is that true? :-( That's a big security hole!

    • Damn.. you just saved me $600

    • only found out about this today, totally changed my mind about adding these 2c cameras to my eufy 2 system. The longer shaped cameras without the light, which i have, contain anti-theft that sets of an alarm if the camera is knocked/bumped which would happen when someone tries to reset them and erase the footage. These 2c cameras don't have anti theft motion sensors.

      • Although true, this does assume the "thief" knows a bunch of things;
        1. That the camera exists at all
        2. How to get to a camera without being caught on it in the first place (setting of a series of lights, sirens, notifications etc)
        3. Has a ladder to get to the camera (in most instances)
        4. Knows that it's a camera that has a security flaw (and how to exploit said flaw)
        5. A current phone
Most thieves I'm aware of barely have current phone, let alone the smarts to reconfigure a security system…
I'm not saying this security flaw isn't mindnumbing stupid, but I am suggesting most thieves are…

        • deal with crime from on ex crimes in our program yes they know few of basic but yes know what your talking but show me basic under it. lock your door if gated estate two guys worked basically salivate tell me about the unlocked door they will find. one personal like keep window coved once pop you light basic showcase window. clints ask to look Christmas light other show point, people, with the blind up in window lights on.

    • yer, but switching of the the houses power is much easier than knowing a security flaw exists on any cams, and ALL retail home security systems are dead in the water without internet/wifi. So an individual highly specific flaw doesn't look that bad in comparison.
