As an alternative to the Kickr Core, you could consider the JetBlack Volt EMS at $1079.
It includes a cassette.
It's from an Australian company.

Reviews are very favorable. They say:
* It's silent
* If you didn't know, you would think you were using a Kickr Core
* It allows you to pass data from a heart-rate monitor through the trainer, requiring one less input channel on the receiving device which is important for Apple TV Zwift users.
* The mobile companion app needs work. JetBlack say they're working on it. The companion app isn't used often - just for firmware updates and spindown calibrations?
