i5 with integrated graphics for 1.2K no thanks.

        • You can get higher config for less from Lenovo website.

Yes, but they don't have WWAN (and no option to add it on). I'm not saying this price is fantastic, but it's the cheapest with WWAN.

  • i5-2430 is not the latest i5 processors..

I'm not negging or anything. I'm just wonder why it's so expensive for an older model?

As kheob said, it's a freaking 'Ferrari' with WWAN………..

To me, I think the X200 with i5 for lower than $500 last year was a deal but not this junk.

        • I just Googled about WWAN and it seems like it's quite useless here? Because you'll need a service provider that provide WWAN service.. ( m.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-wwan.htm)

Might be better off getting a Telstra 4G USB Broadband instead..

        • WWAN support in laptops generally means that the computer has a integrated 3G modem inside it. Like that $199 Acer netbook we saw on COTD's post. You slip in a SIM card inside the laptop and it'll connect to the network, no dongles required.

The WWAN is a generic term and actually refers to a wireless network that exists between you (your modem) and the telco's network (e.g Optus)

There are no internal WWAN modules for Telstra 4G as of yet. For 4G you're going to have to buy Telstra modems.

We understand these deals are not for everyone and they're obviously Lenovo branded - so they charge a premium compared to other brands.

15 have been sold so far, the rest will sell too.

… One day it would be nice to come on ozBargain and have the first few posters go "wow, for that product (and compare, apples to apples) that's $400 cheaper than I can get that any where else, that's a good deal" .. :)

    • You will be surprised why Lenovo charge half as much for the same model in USA than here.

      • I don't believe i will be… Why?

          Nice beach tax.

Seems to be more expensive here then it is on their website.

They have later models for cheaper pricing than this 'deal'

  • Lenovo have better deals on their website. :/

  • Not attractive pricing

  • no deal
