Give us our $15 off eBay vouchers please!

Or better yet, give us $15 off Amazon with no min spend

  • +7

Btw ESET deal was better from your eBay stuff up. No deal here

  • +4

Cancelled my order after posted notification. Bugger off rep.

  • +16

Very brave showing up here. They're still holding my money.

  • +2

Lol I'm not even sure what HT have done wrong? - Do I join the angry mob?

    • +8

They screwed up on a promotion, which is fair enough.

But instead of taking the blame, they put "Something was wrong with the buyer's delivery address" as the cancellation reason.

Definitely deserve a neg for lying through their teeth, and since they have openly lied, what else are they lying about?

  • +5

I just saw OP and knew to come read the comments

I am also so confused what version that keyboard is?

    Gateron Mechanical
    Gateron Optical
    Keychron Optical

Your website just lists them all
    Version: Gateron / Optical / Hot-swappable
Switches: Gateron mechanical / Keychron Optical

    • +1

keychron ali listing has all the models listed:

      https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001432432226.html

      It's a K8J3 variant, so Hot-swappable / Gateron mechanical Brown / ALU + RGB

      • Brilliant, thanks so much

        • It may be even more expensive from Aliexpress due to GST added at checkout, but even without GST, $5 extra is worth the much faster shipping.

          • @DmytroP: Nah I just had a closer look - I think the $99 version was the non aluminium frame. Oops.

  • +7

There is nothing wrong with my address at eBay. Why did you lie and cancel my order?

  • Why all the negatives? It's a great price for the Keychron K8 keyboard, especially for the more expensive hot-swappable version with an aluminium frame.

    • +5

You can never be so sure about a seller like Harris Technology. They could cancel your order later for the most ridiculous reasons.

    • +4

A great price means nothing if you can't trust the seller. It could well be another mistake by an inexperienced staff member!

    • +4

They will hold your money, until you sent them many messages, and they will cancel your order with some weird reasons, such as: invalid delivery address.

I reported them in ebay: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11320554/redir

  • +8

We are sorry to let you know that harristechnologyaustralia cancelled your order and mentioned the cancellation reason as 'Something was wrong with the buyer's delivery address.'

  • +5

It could turn out to be offered to just one individual customer!

  • +1

    these are gonna get shipped?

  • I just purchased the keyboard through Amazon. Are you able to refund the difference between the price on Amazon and that on your website?

    • +1

Good luck with these unethical greedy douchebags

  • +7

After lying to its customers, HT still has the balls to post deals on Ozbargain.

Everyone, let’s boycott them and stop supporting this unethical company.

  • Your mother taught you better Harris

  • +1

15 off with no min spend and people going through guest checkouts to use the code multiple times… this went exactly as expected. Also cancel reasons are bs and mean zilch. I've had 'buyer wants to cancel' as a reason when seller's go out of stock etc. happens a lot and doesn't mean anything

    • +4

Cancellation reasons do get recorded against sellers, if they record too many "I was out of stock" eBay may restrict their selling account.

This is why most sellers select a reason where it is the "buyers fault" so they don't get a mark against their account.

      Not very good practice!

      • +2

Typically, they can get away with a lie or two or ten. But doing it against potentially 11000 Ozbargainers who clicked through? Yeah, good luck with that.

They could just taken the blame, then contact ebay about the screw up, doubt ebay will hold it against them.

From my ebay chat re: Harris Technology using a dodgy cancellation reason to avoid a negative impact on the Seller's performance.

"I have checked the details and I can see that we had buyers who had the same concern like yours from this seller. So, do not worry, we will look after this matter and check the seller's account. Please be advised that the seller's refusal to sell the item you've committed to buy is a breach of our Seller Non-Performance policy.

Also I can see that you have already been refunded so once again I am assuring you that we will definitely review the seller's account.

As we do not tolerate this kind of behaviour, I have taken the initiative to report your trading partner to our relevant department who will fully investigate the seller and take the appropriate action. Breaches of eBay's policies can lead to consequences that range from issuing the seller an informational alert, a temporary suspension, an indefinite suspension or terminating the member's account. Due to privacy concerns, we’re not at liberty to discuss the details of any action taken"

I don't really believe they will do anything, but everyone getting on the chat and lodging complaints has at least caught their attention!

    Eset Nod32 Antivirus 3 Devices 1 Year

HT Amazon store: normal price $24.99 (now $3.99)

HT eBay store: normal price $8.99

    Please explain.

    • +5

This is a mistake made by one of our staff members. Due to inexperience, this price was made public and was shared across Ozbargain, when it was originally intended for one person.

      • The staff member must have been Howard Chen

  • +5

"a mistake was made by one of our staff members when offering an eBay coupon to one individual customer"

"Something was wrong with the buyer's delivery address"

  • +4

Lol no thanks. they cancelled my order too

  • +5

I don't mind the fact that orders were cancelled and refunded.
But making up dishonest excuses and providing false cancellation reasons is not cool.

  • +4

This is only the beginning of the negs.

Hell hath no fury like a ozbargainer scorned

  • deal on the k4?

    Hello <…>,

My name is Grace from eBay and I received your case regarding the item “Logitech” (184390477721 ) that you recently purchased. I understand that you're not happy with the outcome of this transaction since seller cancelled your order because of address issue. No worries, let me handle this.

First of all, I hope you are safe with your whole family. I appreciate you in exerting your time and effort in bringing this matter to our attention. I know it's quite disappointing knowing seller cancelled the transaction with no prior notice. I check your address and it seems seller choose address issue to cancelled the transaction. This is not valid.

According to this circumstances, first, seller should make a clearer listing regarding location. Next, seller should not have cancelled items because of address. They need to inform first all their buyer before payment. And now seller is unresponsive.

Right now, since refund already issued, we highly advised to check for same item available on our site. Just an assurance, we will take care of the seller.

Let me send these details to our Trust and Safety Team which will conduct investigation on the seller's account, review their activities, and come up with any action that may result on the possibility of suspending or terminating the account.

Once our Trust and Safety team receives this report or get a record of it in our system, they will conduct investigation right away and come up with a further action for you. Rest assured that your concern will not be taken for granted.

You can also check this link: <hided link> for leaving feedback to your sellers.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. And I wish you all the best in your future eBay transactions. Take care always NgocHieuThuan!

    Sincerely,
    Grace C.

    eBay Customer Support

      Thanks NgocHieuThuan

    • +1

Where do you report this? I can’t see it.

  • +4

Would not recommend anyone go with this seller. I don't think they should be allowed on OzB.

  • +2

    hmm sneaky seller

  • +2

I just dropped my eBay negative feedback on them from the shonky "let's blame OzB - incorrect buyer's address fiasco" - it was very therapeutic :)

  • +2

    Buzz off @HTDealAdmin

  • +1

No Thanks > this mob just holds onto your money for a week and then simply cancels your order

Their excuse is, that they claim that your postage address is incorrect

  • +1

No thanks. Cancels the order with a fake excuse and makes it harder to leave negative feedback, while not affecting their seller profile and making it an unfair marketplace for other sellers.

If you'd been honest about it to eBay and to purchasers I wouldn't mind but blaming ozbargain for leaking the code and lying to eBay as well is just wrong.

Thanks to ozb members who have provided the direct link and looks like I'm not the only one who has left feedback (last 12 months now at 98.9 was at 99%)

    • +2

What’s the direct link you are referring to?

      • +1

So when a seller cancels with an excuse of address not vaild, you can't leave feedback from your purchased items list as you normally would.

The link is https://www.ebay.com.au/fdbk/leave_feedback?filter=giver_rol… and you can also leave feedback on cancelled items like this one or other items that you can't leave feedback for from your purchased list.

  • LOL HT is getting trashed .. time to rebrand like Meta.

good good let the hate flow through you

      • That you Zuck? :)
