People conplaint about rubbish. These Web am quality is terrible. 720 is really below par these days..

    • The cam of my asus flip s (the most thin n light 2in1 laptop in the world) is vga :( i bought it not because of the cam but super portable, many people impressed with the look everytime i do presentation in front of them

The webcam is cheap and shitty, sure.

But the resolution isnt the issue.

      For arguements sake, lets say it was a GOOD 720p sensor;

That means a streamer, or a 4 person team meeting, could set it to use an entire quarter of someones 1440p screen, and still be at native resolution.

Most streamers and calls that are more than 1:1, are smaller windows than that.

This product doesn’t know what it is, nor does the seller. Full HD is 1080p, not 720.

I can’t deal with this level of dumb. No deal.

Love to support these type of sellers, that's where to fine bargain! Bought 4 :)

    • Received today 4/5
      Fast delivery 4/5
      Packaging 4/5
      Quality 3/5
      Price 5/5
      Total 80%

It's definitely better than notebook's camera and it's only $6.81 including delivery.

  • I'm tempted to see how this compares to my Logitech Brio just for fun because the focus on the Brio is terrible. 720 in focus will be better than 4k out of focus.

    • Clever idea as you will definitely feel much better after the comparison. It's a win win situation

  • Wonder if this could be used with Octoprint for 3D printing timelapses.. the problem with these unknown models is figuring out the settings.
    Cheap price tho…

  • how about the quality?

I'm not going to vote on this either way but tech this cheap concerns me from an environmental standpoint. I'd be shocked if someone purchased one of these and used it for any real period of time before it would find itself in the bin following an upgrade or realisation by the purchaser they never had a requirement.

    • realisation by the purchaser they never had a requirement.

This is one of those products quite safe from that.

So many people require something for work, but have zero desire on a personal level.

Better to get 50c worth of last generation tech thtat would otherwise be landfill, than to buy a new current gen, in production chip to waste.

    • For the occasional meeting it's not a bad idea to buy a cheap cam than current gen cam. I bought a cheapo from Amazon for $10 and it does the job. Nothing special, they can't see every pore on my face but they don't need to. Sure it's not 4k res but for meetings you don't exactly need that

  • Do not buy something from a retailer that prominently puts "FULL HD" in the picture when the product is clearly not FULL HD based on the specs.
The other specs listed in the blue box shows "HD 1080P/720P".
1080 * 720 is not Full HD or 1080P and most definitely is 720P.
There is no exucse for this. It is either incompetence or deception.

  • received.

decent for a sub $7 webcam.

    • Thanks for that. That really isnt bad at all.

The sensor being 480p is common, is the output upscaling to 720? Or is it outputting native 480p?

"Lying seller" or not, a bargain is still a bargain.

Probably gonna grab 3 for the parents smart TVs so they can call family via video.

Edit; wait; mic none? Is it its own 3.5mm plug? That wont work for a smart TV…

      • it has a 3.5mm plug

        • Rats, thanks for that, not for me then.
          Cheers!
