    Does this require a subscription?

    • It says something about a free 30 day trial for ifit. So maybe it's optional?

    • *iFIT experience shown. WIFI and Internet required. A credit or debit card is required for activation. After the included 30-day membership, iFit auto-renews for a fee unless canceled in advance.

    • you dont have to have a sub….you can use it as a normal standalone bike.

for $500 cheaper….Id personally go for the https://www.proformfitness.com.au/product/indoor-cycling-bik…

ProForm and NordicTrack are both manufactured by ICON Health and Fitness.

I have the Proform Treadmill - connected to iFit and it is brilliant. You can use it without a subscription, same as this bike.

    • May I ask which model Proform Treadmill you are referring to? I am in the market for a decent treadmill that does not cost an arm and a leg. Thanks!

we bought the 995i for $1699 about 6 months ago (free delivery). It doesn't have a screen so we just added a Samsung tab to use the iFit subs. It came with 6 months free subscription as well.

Its similar to their current 12.0 model (without the screen)

        • Cheers, I will check those out.

    • Seems the Nordic has a motorised incline adjuster. Probably not $500 more better, but not exactly the same

    • I have the S22i however don't think you can probably go wrong with either, the S22i has the cooling fan and the automatic powered incline (20%) and decline (10%) over the ProForm. Mine came with a 12 month family iFit subscription, so maybe the lower price reflects a 30 day trial. I personally wouldn't use one of these bikes without iFit. The S22i for me has been fantastic and doing workouts following a trainer in different countries around the world has been enjoyable, in fact I am just about to go and do a ride session now.

These machines are really quite due to the magnetic resistance system. My number one tip is to upgrade the seat when you get it. Some padded bike pants and clip in shoes with pedals follow closely.

      • can I if you looked at the proform tour de france bike that has incline / decline ?

        https://www.proform.com/exercise-bikes/tour-de-france-pro-5-…

        • That's a different Pro-Form bike and USD $2,999.

          • @dandandan: was just curious to know if you considered it or tried it out?
I am very aware it is a different beast - was thinking about getting a 2nd hand one
like this one - but not rusty

            • @dr_ rusko: No sorry, I didn't know about this bike however I see it has 20 degrees decline, then you have the screen size. Not sure is the model you linked is in that great of a condition.
