Kenshi from $440.

I snapped and bought one - I managed to add a free cable management bar. Seems like they turned that off now though?

  • Recently purchased a dual-motor standing desk frame for $300 after negotiating down from $369 with Amazingooh. Frame height adjustable from 60-125cm, 120kg capacity and 36mm/s speed. Comparing all the dimensions and shape of the frame, it appears to be the same item as Desky for less than half the price (not sure about the actuators though).

Can't speak for long term usage as I've had it for around a month, but $300 price means it can be an instant tax write off instead of having to be depreciated over 10 years. Might be worth a look for those shopping around

  • How long it takes to deliver?

Ordered 2 no email no sms and cannot find anywhere to login into the website

    • IIRC, they use TNT Express who in turn outsource the delivery to another third-party courier. Don't expect too much from them and you'll be a satisfied customer :-)

    • See comments and my review from July 2021. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/627643

I hope they have changed the shipping company - Hunter something. When I purchased in July it was terrible. I leave about 45km from their Melbourne warehouse it took them for ever. Good luck

I like my omnidesk besides the sh!t I went through. Hahaha

    • Delivered. Sydney

      • Placed an order yesterday (Sydney) and they advised 9-14 business days. Was this the same turnaround expectation when you ordered?

        • Yes. I was told 9-14 days but expected it would be made in demand from China.
          Then delivered next day.

  • For anyone looking to spend a little less, I bought a 150cm x 75cm standing desk from Lazymaisons in September via eBay and it has been great. Dual motor, 5 year warranty etc.- check their website.
Got it for $543 including delivery to Perth.

  • IKEA thyge $120 similar dimension to the small Kenshi. Very sturdy too compared to Ikea's hardened cardboard line.

  • I would wait for Zen Space Desks. Their sale is on this Friday (confirmed).

    • Any reasons why you recommend ZenSpace over the Omni? What about Up Down?

  • Does anyone have recommendation on under desk mounted drawer?

I already have a standing desk but would like to add a drawer for storage.

    Thanks in advance!

  • much better off paying $300 for a frame on ebay and you can get a better tabletop than they use for a few hundred

  • +7

I have the 1500 Omnidesk Pro 2020 and got it for around 700+ w/ cable management bar. Wife has the ZenDesk 1200 - both desks uses Melamine. Mine is Black, hers is Blue

    1) Omnidesk default cabling for hiding the motor and overall quality of the metal feet is better. With the Zendesk, you can see some soldered marks. The cable management bar of Omni feels premium as well,
    2) Omnidesk motor is more quiet, was expecting the Zendesk to be quieter given the smaller frame but it was not
    3) Omnidesk reaches 127(mm?cm?) in height based from the keypad. Zendesk reaches 125
    4) Omnidesk is faster at reaching maximum height
    5) Anti fatigue mat is basically the same, with only the brand difference.
    6) At that time, the addon cable management bar for the Zendesk was more expensive, we did not get it.

Overall, Omnidesk feels more premium and should be given the difference in price when we got it during last sale. But with the introduction of the IKEA ones, I don't think I'll ever buy with either in the future.

    • would you suggest for anyone looking to get a sit/stand desk atm to go with the Ikea options over this?

      • Read the last sentence

      • I have seen the IKEA ones and there's not much difference (not the gaming). The main thing to always consider is the motor and feet, it's easy to change the actual table itself and IKEA offers a lot of table options for you to use in case you are customizing it. Maybe even Bunnings can cater to table sizes, not sure.

The next thing to consider is, do you want memory functions to save your desired height adjustments? I have used normal Up/Down ones and I always get that "something doesn't feel right" moment. I will always go with ones with memory capabilities, they just cost more.

        • any suggestion on IKEA models?

  • What about Serta desk?

  • Overpriced even after the discount.

  • I looked into this and other options too then ended up with Lazy Maisons (ebay) for around $500 mark for 150cm long one.
I've been using it two weeks and love its dual motors that are quite, strong and fast. I recommend it highly.

  • Far out I really want this desk.

  • Expired before blackfriday?

  • Delivered within 24 hours. What a surprise. Sydney

    • I ordered last night, was expecting 2 weeks, but maybe I'll get mine tomorrow. Did you get castor wheels?

      • I am not sure. Is it a add-on or come as default? Haven’t open the package yet too quick not ready.

    • yeah mine came yesterday as well, was on the toilet… Definitely didn't expect it haha (edit: Melbourne)

      • What specs did you guys order?

        • I bought the 1.5m one black one

  • The deal comes back

  • +1

They’ve got a model coming out at some point called the Omnidesk Ascent

    https://geekculture.co/omnidesk-ascent-redesigns-standing-de…

  • Has this deal expired? Code not valid.

    • still active, just applied sitewide no code needed

  • Bought something similar from desky albeit the negative reviews and it arrived in 4 days from Brisbane to Sydney. That was honestly impressive and their customer support was great too. Happy to comment on the desk.

I sold my omnidesk before and upgraded to the bigger size desky. There are pros and cons of each but Desky’s table top is 25mm thick and their integrated cable management is so much more robust.
