        • +1

Trust me they are now a cheap Chinese tv nothing like the original don't be fooled by the name .

          • @spock: I know. Shame really.

    • Should've gone to Specsavers

the oppo reno stays at android 10 forever in case someone cares. camera is ok, nothing special, other than that, it's a good phone which i am currently typing on.

    • +1

What's the difference between the 5G and the 10x Zoom? I have the 10x Zoom and I thought the camera is pretty good.

      • 5g that's all. And 10x is dual Sim. I think. Also 10x will get android 12. Definitely go with 10x if you are choosing between them unless 5g is a must

    • +1

wow. That $429 for a phone with no android update? Seems excessive

      • +2

this was released the twin flagship (10x zoom and 5G) in 2019 with android 9 out of box , however they treat them differently. reno 5G only get 1 major update to android 10, while 10x zoom is on their android 12 list. it's a joke to me, and this is going to be my list oppo phone despite the phone itself is fine.

  • Do we have a list of Coles stores that we can purchase these items?

    • +2

The list of stores is on the last 2 pages of the catalogue.

  • Coles going down the Aldi route?

      Also free Apples for kids…

  • Super tempting to get the new TV for my office.

    • Under $300 so you don't have to depreciate it

      • Yep that was my thinking.

  • they make tvs? wow. i remember them from car audio a long long time ago.

    • My first VHS video player/recorder was Blaupunkt. Used to be quality gear back in the early 80s.

    • Blaupunkt is just a name and splash screen slapped onto cheap white label Chinese TVs , nothing more.

  • Does anyone know anything about the TV?
Can't see a model number or find it by googling to see if there's any reviews.

I can't even see if it's vesa compatible.

There's a 42" at Officeworks for $347 that looks ok though

I have the 32-inch model (paid $249) and it’s working great for our guest room. Having proper Android TV (rather than simply “smart” apps) is a solid benefit.

The sound is crap though, would look at getting a cheap soundbar to improve things.

    • We have the 42" from officeworks, can't complain, I like it.

    • I have the Blaupunkt from Officeworks. I have to say my experience with all android tv's so far is that although its great to have access to the app store not just a few limited smart apps… overall the TVs are incredibly slow, unresponsive and buggy.

I have a kogan one and found all those issues, then I decided to try Blaupunkt being that it is at least a "brand". Basically the same performance. If you don't mind the slow performance, it does the job. I use it because I can get my VPN app running on it and watch netflix from any country.

      • it gets slower and slower every week. I find this annoying and always have to reset it. I rather not deal with wasting time with a buggy and slow tv

  • Not at my Coles despite being on the list. Customer service lady had no idea what I was talking about.

  • Had just one iPad mini at my local.

  • They had 1 left at my nearest Coles.

I weakened and grabbed it, it'll go in the bedroom as soon as I get a stand for it as the unit it's going on is too small for the TV to safely sit on.

I've got a spare cheap soundbar doing nothing so I'll have a play with the setup over the weekend.

    • Is it vesa compatible?

      • It is.

        • Thanks.
Managed to grab one. It's an Xmas present though so can't open it to check and googling the model number shows nothing.

  • Happy to be of assistance.

The Vesa pattern is 200 x 200, with plenty of cheap stands and wall mounts available on eBay.
