Is that a good idea? I always worry the metal on metal contact could wreck the surface so put a tea towel between them.

Also $10 Commbank reward for a $100 spend at Myer will still be active for some.

Discover pans that are ideal for mouth-watering results, flawless searing and fat-free cooking with no added oil.

This makes it crystal clear that their target market is people who are completely clueless about both cooking and health.
(yes, a well marbled steak does not need added oil, but that apples to a stainless steel or cast iron pan too.)

Its name is a portmanteau of the words TEFlon and ALuminium.

Yes, Teflon has wonderful properties, and aluminium conducts heat well for even temperature. Even better is to add an outer layer of stainless steel.
But $140 RRP? What a joke! Still overpriced at $70.

    • Oops, I guess I offended their target market :-(

      • I'll give it a go, I do all the wrong things with them- high temps and dishwashers but wooden or silicone utensils. I had some Baccarat stone pans I'm close to retiring after about 5 years and some Tefals on the go for 1 year, so I'll be interested to compare to the IKEA model. The only thing I do to look after them is a quick wipe with oil after they come out of the dishwasher before storing.

It's supposed to last 6x longer but the warranty only lasts 24 months

Those are not bad, but the cheaper cast-aluminium pans, which are not suitable for induction stoves.

    • Coles often has these on sale for individual buy, for $30/$20 each

Tefal are rubbish pans. Was lectured from Myer when returning under warranty (18 months old) using the pan under high heat with spray oil caused the surface to bubble. Same issue happened on the replacement. Have had zero issues with scanpan proiq.
