It puzzles me that OPs here almost never include the ABV in the description. Does the ABV play no part in your alcohol buying decisions?

    • 4.7%

    • Need ABV and bottle size.
      Or just Standard Drinks

    • +1

Because when you're no longer a teenager you drink beer for the taste not the ABV…

      • -3

Really. So when you go into a pub and ask for a beer you don't care what is served up? Low strength, mid strength, no strength, I don't care. Just give me a beer.

        • That has no relevance to how he answered the previous statement.

        • Um what? My point is I don’t go to the bar and order whatever swill has the highest % ABV just the same as I don’t consider the ABV essential in a ozbargain post.
I and most adults order based on the taste and and from a brand you like not just on how drunk it will get you.

          • +1

@stirlo: ABV has a direct relationship to price. That is why low strength beer is cheaper. If this beer is 4.7% it is a good buy if it is 2% it is not. If you don't know the ABV you can't assess value.

            • -1

@shaybisc: Only if your measure of value is "How drunk does this get me" or "How much margin is the supplier making"

Real value is having a beverage you enjoy.

    • Not in a linear way, no. Always interested to know the ABV but I’m happy to pay more for less alc. Heaps Normal comes pretty close to the real deal to me, great to be able to drink one before dinner every day without having to error about your alcohol consumption.

      • *worry, not error

      • … great to be able to drink one before dinner every day…

FYI, many health guidelines include the recommendation of having at least 2 alcohol-free days per week to reduce the risks of physiological dependence and complications of chronic alcohol use. Your welcome 👍

        • I guess you didn’t read the rest of my post, you’re missing some context by just quoting that line.

          • @bozbargain: Which part?

            • @muwu: The part where I’m saying I like to drink non alc beers for the obvious health benefit and don’t think that price/ABV ratio is relevant at all?

  • +1

    OOS

  • OOS!

  • Wouldn’t deliver to 5700 Port Augusta SA anyway. Waste of time those alcohol deals except You live in the cities…

  • +1

800 units but OOS after 170ish … bloody hopeless

sorry everyone thought they would at least 800 cases in their system available to purchase …

  • Maybe this deal belongs in the covid infected lockdown section of the website

I scooped on the last deal with the Four Pines deal about 1 month ago - they advertised the mid strength Pacific Ale at approx $25 and the Draught for $28.90
I initially bought 5 slabs of the Pacific Ale before realising:
    a. The Pacific Ale wasn't full strength
    b. THe draught was only about $3.80 more

So I ordered 3 slabs of Draught then reached out to their ordering department to ask that I could cancel 4 out of the 5 slabs of the mid strength Pacific ale. They replied promptly that was fine an refunded me the amount for 4 slabs of Pacific Ale. They then contacted me and said they would have to cancel the last remaining Pacific Ale due to "operational issues". The refund for that last Pacific Ale slab populated in my account. So at that point Id been refunded for all 5 slabs of Pacific Ale.

Then it got interesting. I get this email from them saying all my orders will be cancelled even though Id received no cancellation about the 3 slabs of full strength Draught. Weird?? Even weirder, a week later - a singe slab of Pacific Ale mid strength arrives on my doorstep and no signature was given - they just left it on my porch and I noticed it on my way out. SO it was basically a free slab. They'd obviously mixed up their cancellations with their order edits and dispatched me a free case of beer!!

Weird because I thought it would be a mandatory signature delivery. Then 2 weeks later my 3 slabs of Draught turned up. So for the total sum of about $87, I received 3 slabs of full strength Four Fines Draught AND 1 slab of Four Pines mid strength DELIVERED!! I worked out its about 89 cents a stubbie.

    • Sure the beers weren't tree fiddy?

Code not working, check out stage states I already applied code to the order but the price remains at the original value.
Btw I used the credit card before so it might have something to do with it
    Thanks
