Doesn't make it expensive, just means you can't afford it.

        • It’s cheap compared to my old pair that cost nearly $3k

This is all part of the same klipsch trade in offer. Offer is for trade in but YMMV and call up participating store and see if they will do without the trade-in.

  • I have Rp-160m and been using them for 4 years now, these are probably tad better than mine. Good lively sound that becomes intangible on loud volumes.

    • Un-intelligible is the word. The horns means! You have to be exactly in the sweet spot, otherwise, the perception of stage is unclear 😂

        I hate comments like this.

You are supposed to get a professional to find the sweet spot for you and once it's found, you either dead bolt a comfy chair to that location or you duct tape a X to mark the spot.

        Don't blame the horns!

I personally don't like the sound of the Klipsch speaker horns. :) I know they are a great speaker, but everyone has a different take on what sounds better.

Personally I like the high end Polk sound, but once again many people will disagree with me. It's all about personal preference.

          • @paulied84: everyone has different ears, I like Focal sound for music. Klipsch are just for movies lol

This was the cheapest, not sure about warranty.
Passive speakers don't really need warranty

  • great speakers, i have them. Once paired with a decent AV receiver and calibrated, the sound is really amazing. Sound is very clear at high volumes too

    • What's a 'decent' AV receiver? I only have a VSX830-K, will it sound good? What kind of receiver do I need to buy to get them to sound good? (I have a sub already)

      • i am not a big fan of Pioneer's MCACC calibration but it should work. I was talking about some higher range AV receiver like Denon 3700h with or Integra DRX 3.4. Both will be around 2k. If you are looking below 1k price point Yamaha RX V6A is also a good option.
