SP8 prices also not as good as education discount, can also get education discount on the Go 3's and others.

  • Is this the first time Surface Laptop 4 has been on sale? I haven’t seen any sales on it before!

Disappointing tbh. Surface laptops are too expensive for what they provide in my opinion. Prices have not changed since 2019.

    • +2

Yeah they have. The 15" Ryzen 16GB/512GB configuration is cheaper by about $800 compared to the SL3 equivalent (when comparing RRP)

Too each their own I guess. I see them as premium devices (touchscreens, battery life, higher resolution displays, lightweight) so naturally they are more expensive than a laptop that only prioritises its performance over any other feature. And I know for fact they had price drops 1july this year so they definitely have changed since 2019, not to mention this model didn't exist until this year so…

      • True. I paid ~$1100 for a Surface Laptop 2 in 2019. The cheapest 4 still has the same 8GB of RAM…

  • Big discount on the Surface Book, it's an interesting but odd design.

    • It's been discontinued and replaced by the Surface Laptop Studio

      • Ah, thanks, that makes sense, I can see how the Studio fixes the drawbacks of the Book.

  • Any of these run games decently?

    • what games?

      • Cyberpunk? Far cry? Generally story driven FPS

        • +1

No, would need a gpu for those games

Looks like JB Hi-Fi are price matching Microsoft store's Black Friday Sales https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/store/b/sale?icid=Top_Stripe…

In that case, it'd be more beneficial if you got it from the Microsoft Store if you have the Microsoft Amex offer where it's $100 statement credit for $500 spend.

      • +1

Microsoft also throw in a free soft case. Plus potential for 8% on cash rewards.

      • Anyone able to purchase the $500 microsoft gift card using amex? I am getting error
