  the 3200 is half the price of the 3600. Can anyone advise if there is really that much noticeable difference between these to justify paying twice as much for the 3600 currently?

    Tiny performance difference, you likely wouldn't notice it outside of direct comparisons (as in benchmarks).

    At $10, sure probably get the 3600 - won't improve most things much but why not? ​ But the bigger the gap, the harder I find it to justify. ​ If it's anywhere near double, 100% go for the 3200.
