    Cheers. Hunter Green it is.

    • Agreed. I have too many black things and can never find them :(

      • Same. Especially when I chuck my keys on the lounge which is black.

Anyone know if there are cheaper alternatives on ebay?

    • +1

There are - but they’re usually bigger / fatter or just a different form factor that’s not as simple and elegant as Orbitkey’s offering. I’ve still got mine from 2015 - and they continue to add new products all the time! Recommend

I got one from aliexpress for 5 bucks, and it doesn't have the screwing mechanism that orbitkey has, so once I used it enough times, (less than a weeks worth of use), it would loosen, and then when it hit critical point, it would clatter all my keys on the floor, in front of the door and I'd be stuck fishing for the keys and the screw…

edit: orbitkey has a clicking mechanism in the screw, so it doesn't unscrew itself

      • Locktite or a little dab of superglue

    • Sure are. Yes cheaper. Quality not as good and bulky. I have one and hence changing to one of these.

    • Not cheaper but an alternative would be the Jibbon key. It's minimalistic, the edge are folded so more durable, can change keys without any tools and their customer support is awesome.

  • Thanks op! Xmas gift sorted!

Of all the things ozbargainers waste their money on, I've never understood the obsession with orbitkey

    • +3

Well its like a key, but they ORBIT!!

    • Thats what the power of ozpeerpressuregain can do lol

    • It's pretty convenient to use, I carry a few keys, they don't dig into me when carrying them in my pocket and it looks good compared to the mess of keys just hanging everywhere. Can't even count how many times I've had to dig into my pocket and reposition the keys to make it a bit more comfortable

      • This. Somethings are worth spending a little bit of money on. You can't put a price on convenience.

    • do u understand their obsession with eneloop?
      please share :)

  • I got one of these for Christmas last year, I tried really hard to like it, but I hated it, makes the keys so awkward.

    • Awkward how?
Contemplating on purchasing for Christmas gifts

      • When unfolding a key; the awkward way you have to line it up to the keyhole; the unusual turning motion with the key in the device itself and keyhole at the same time; the keys eventually go loose in the device, which you can tighten, but I've had it rip holes in my pocket as a consequence because of how it holds the keys rigid.

It's a nice idea, but in practicality it's not good at all. The best thing I've found was to get a tile so I can find my lost keys (not their device that is similar to the one here) — I'd suggest going with the wallet/key/phone finder combo, it's helped me out heaps of times.

        • Yep, I use my tile to find something almost everyday lol

        • i think it's a preference thing. i find its actually easier to turn the key on the orbitkey.

i do have a million things hanging off it though and if you do tend to hang a lot of things then orbit key can be more awkward. i use some camera clips to unclip everything as required

    also on sale in rushfaster

    • Free shipping over $75

  • i might have asked before but i dont remember the answer, how do car keys fit in the orbit key? my car key is large and has a function / battery to open/lock/boot etc.

    • Use the D ring

  • I got one for free from the Athena promo they had running, the letter they included was quite hilarious 🤣
