    What are Member only in-park perks? We going in Christmas and I am interested if this is worth buying now. I doubt we can get the discounts as we already paid for this booking.

      No you won't get any further discount as you already paid…if your accommodation cost is more than $500 then BIG4 gives you free membership anyway….

      • I belive worth a try. Just turn up, produce membership card they will refund you. I had done on mine before, as the card number wasnt in hand at booking time

      In terms of joining now if you have already booked your accommodation, some parks may accept the discount upon arrival to the park. If you contact the park directly they can confirm if the 10% discount can be applied.

    Main benefit is 10% off up to $50 for each stay. Uncapped 10% after you've spent 4k in 2 years. Other things like late checkout and very generous no fee cancellation policy (9am on day of arrival!)

    Whenever I check BiG4 Holiday Parks, they're always too expensive or booked out. Like more than Hilton expensive! Either there is a loophole to book them cheaper that I'm not aware of or there are too many rich bogans out there.

      Yeah, the days of the cheap caravan park holiday are sadly gone.

    • ALSO, probably isn’t just big4 only, but I don’t like how caravan/holiday parks makes you stay and minimum of 3, 5 even 7 nights. I don’t even bother.

  • Big4's vic head office support is non existent. I am already a perks+ member and I was not seeing a 10% off discount on the booking I made online(even when I was logged in the account). Left multiple voice-mails (as calls were unanswered), sent emails (with screenshots) in June and nobody have responded yet.

        Thank you. At one stage I did get through your 1300 phone number and I was told there may have been a glitch in my membership and the lady on the phone said she would get IT to follow up on this but that also never happened. She told me to send another email which I did in August and didn't receive a response. I'll follow up again now.

        If you book for a site or for a cabin, and you cancel within the allowed cancellation period, do you get full refund to original payment for the booking or, instead, you get credit for future booking?

        This is wrong and park specific.
        I had a booking cancelled at Ballarat due to lockdowns and Ballarat would not provide a full refund.
        They provided me 2 options, they keep the money as credit for future booking for use within 2 or 3 years, or can refund but less a cancellation fee of 10% or $30.
        When I questioned this with head office they provided no help.

  • I want to get this as a gift. Can you select the start date or it has to start from purchase date?

      We are not able to adjust the start date of the membership unfortunately, it will start from the purchase date. However it is valid for 2 years from that date - so plenty of time for it to be used!
