  • looks tempting, any reviews how they compare to sonos/homepod mini?

    • +1

There are plenty online and some that compare to the Sonos.

    • +1

These are significantly larger than the homepod mini, and isnt really in the same ecosystem.

    • +1

much better than Sonos Roam, Sonos One is probably better but bang for buck the citation, homepod mini not really comparable it's very different

    Love this!

Bought 2 at 110 few weeks ago.

The only thing is that you need to raise a ticket to their support to get the firmware update to fix the airplay issue.

    • +1

Yep I hope you found my post explaining how to do it, took me like 3 weeks to figure that out after pulling my hair to fix it.

    • +1

Is it updating to 1.44? Mine came installed with 1.44

      • Mine is stable on 1.44 I have no idea if this is the newest Firmware, it probably has to do with what date they were manufactured.

        • far out! this has been anoying me the whole time.

          How do I do this?

  • +2

I have a pair of these in my office and they're really good. Plenty of bass and they look pretty nice to.

  • This or Google Audio?

  • 40 watts RMS ?
    Highly unlikely !

This is wrong, they only update when flagged by the companies support team.

Lots of discussion on these here.

I own them, I like them, Bass is a bit too much, but that's fine.

If you do buy them you HAVE to flag them for an update, they have so many issues without the updates.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/10933831/redir is how to do this.

    • Interesting you say that, my ones came installed with 1.44. I got it from the previous $100 deal.

  • +1

I got two of these on a huge discount from Telstra Plus points and don't mind them for what they are. I don't know if I would purchase at RRP or even this discounted price, but it pairs easily and has much better sound output than similarly priced smart speakers.

  • Does this speaker say.. "connected to xxxx" when it gets connected?

    • No, not like my bose. It just sits there on the Wifi network until tapped into by a google cast/airplay or hey google command.

  • +1

Still got mine from the free offer with the Pixel 4XL a while back. In all honesty its a great speaker, volumes can get pretty loud as well. I'd say it's worth it at a $99 price point.

  • Thanks OP, ordered one. Was considering the Nest Audio but this price is very good for something that looks very similar, so I'll give it a go.

  • really surprised this didn't get more upvotes. expired :(

  • The code still valid
